Got into some Blue Grouper action on my trip to Western Australia with the Dixon Brothers! Absolutely love this style of fishing, dead set crab fishing for bream, but PE10!

What happened to the video briggsy? It's been edited, certain frames have been removed I'm sure of it??, Ironically it's right at the moment that i witnessed something recorded flying through the sky, as my first original comment pointed out when the video first dropped which has now Ironically been removed, Not nit picking mate just interested to kno if you've edited it or if YT has edited it, and if so ya might be interested in cross examining the vid with your original footage.

Helps to have bail lifted and hand on spool holding the braid while waiting for the bite. When the bite happens lift the hand and give it some line before putting bail down and striking

Awesome fish bro. Here in South Africa we also use crab as bait for a fish called Musselcracker. Also a strong, hard fighting fish.

Narley looking fish, our grouper in the States look totally different. Can't stand when people say that's not a grouper. Not all countries have the same species, but we both have versions of groupers.

I was thinking the same thing. It is prime black fish season going right now and you are allowed 3 during this season. As soon as they started hooking crabs I was thinking about going fishing for tautog.

Tautog can hit those 20-30 lb range...just very rarely do we see them. Tautog on the NE is firing right now!

@@grantd.5438 It is very rare that they get up that high. Normally pretty happy if they are in the 3-5 pound range. I think it would be a huge surprise for someone to hook up with one and have a rig on that wouldn't break. Sport fishing out there is way different than in New England, especially from shore.

Welcome to the south coast Briggsy, it was surprising to see you over here in my home town. The Dixon brothers certainly go the extra mile to get on to some decent fish and good to see you got a taste of the southern ocean but fuck jumping in there man too many BIG sharks down here. I'm not trying to take anything away from Chris and Aaron but there is another channel you need to check out if you haven't already... I don't know these blokes personally so I'm not pumping the channel for any other reason but crazy entertainment. Check out kzfaq.info/love/X-3xwKttEqBysIYVztng-w they are also Albany locals and go the EXTRA EXTRA mile (abseiling granite cliffs) to film some insane south coast fishing. I feel sick just watching these blokes.

Is that trespassing where you are ? Or it’s a remote location no public access. Those damn flies are enough to keep most fishermen away but you guys are hardcore.How often do you keep your catch ? Those grouper look like great tablefare

Hi Mate, The boys over there keep one if its injured because they take so long to grow and most fisherman keep them so they try to set a good example and release most grouper they catch. That zone was a fire trail that was on the fence line of a farm (so it was government land and we should be allowed there but the farmer tried to block it off (which is illegal)). Such a fun style of fishing wish I could be back there right now haha

I miss some of the things you say, so I tried the CC. It hilariously bad. I don't know how your legs are so white, mine are nuclear orange after a couple of hours fishing. I have had to go to the hospital for sun poisoning and my legs were hard from so much swelling.

Fun trip mate, in three days we did blue grouper, got Mulloway in an estuary, I watched Chris get a big Samson fish on slide bait, did a catch n cook squid and went on my first ever bream on lures seesh!

Great video as usual, but I couldn't help noticing that this was the sort of circumstance where the Gopro's depth perception issues become more noticeable, so that relatively nearby objects sometimes appear to be more distant than they are. I wonder if it has anything to do with the extra wide field of view.
