Welcome to my Friday, which is mostly at home. I take in a great big ASDA grocery shopping delivery and later, my daughter and I head out to LIDL and TESCO to continue our shopping for university.

We still have tons of masks here. Since a new strain of Covid has spiked more people are wearing them here now so guess we’ll hang onto ours for a while at least

Hi Imo, hope you are feeling better now. I don’t know if this is on the Uni shopping list, but Izzy may need clothes hangers. Have seen some videos etc. where people have said their Uni room did not provide. Izzy may also need a small pedal bin for her bathroom, again Uni don’t always provide one in the bathroom, but often supply a waste paper bin by the desk. If you check the accommodation it should list what is provided in the room, kitchen, communal areas etc. Apologies if you have already done this. Take care xx

I used to love brushed cotton but I get so hot these days I have microfibre. They don't feel like microfibre cloths, they are silky smooth and light (I like my pants made of the same stuff too 😊😊) Ooh it's getting close now, exciting kitting Izzy out. Mainly the bedding to go x

Another thing to check with the student accommodation is the size of the bed. I assumed it would be single when my son went but it was a small double. I echo the comment on hangers as you can also hang them about the room (on the clothes drier?) to dry clothes. Pob lwc x

Pop your empty oven on a low heat just to gently re-melt the sugary spillage. It should be much easier to clean up then. Just don’t let it go cold/hard again

You’re welcome. I’m a pretty prolific baker so have had this happen more than a few times. It’s the easiest way I’ve found to deal with tough spills inside the oven

Ooooh, I don't have time to watch this now, but excited for it and catch it later, something to look forward to actually, and hope u feel better. I could give u loads in uni tips and advice3, but know u went too and thus confident you'll have all eventualities covered. A basket to keep toiletries from mixing up with other people was one thing i never had when i studied in the US, as everyone took their separate caddy's in, but that was more a dorm situation that felt like boarding school or hogwarts! 😆 BYeeeeee the now

I was looking for Cod Liver Oil in Sainsburys this morning and noticed Calpol £7.50. I wouldnt need that but I used to get it for my nephew and noticed a security sticker on it so looked at the price as I was think why is Calpol security protected, lots of vitamins over the £7 mark were. #so u were, half price u got 😀As to your dinner, well I reckon courgette fixes any meal Haha 😀nice it was a good pick though, know what u mean about sugar in pre made stuff🤢

I went through all my masks and got rid of the fabric ones. I really like the disposable ones as I prefer the fit of them over the fabric ones. Ut oh.. laundry disaster.. ha Have you checked Amazon for the Kikkoman soya sauce? I often find prices to be very comparable if not cheaper online. Right now we can't buy Coke as they are on strike, so I'm drinking Pepsi sugar free. Your store has knives off the shelves, and here we have aluminum foil at the corner stores like 7-11. Reason is.. the junkies use it for their drugs in some way. The mushroom sheets were so cute. It was nice to catch a little glimpse of Izzy. Hopefully she finds some sheets that she'll like. 💕

I don’t know if Izzy university will be the same as my son and daughter universities but both of their cookers in the student house was induction cooker the saucepan/ frying pans didn’t work and we had to buy new one on the day of moving in

I had the same thought, & was going to mention this, However, I zoomed in on the pan label & I think it says something like suitable for all hob types. I look on Tesco website, & it does look like the frying pan you bought will be ok.
