1987 was a great year. It flew by so fast and I still remember 1987 so fondly. Great music, no cell phones, the internet was still for researchers trying to share data...good times. Better times.

Thanks for posting John. Saw BAD in Newcastle in 86 and 88 and, to this day, they were 2 of the best gigs I've ever seen. The atmosphere was joyous - such a party. Even the reformation tour in 2011 was spectacular. As so many people have said - one of the most underrated British bands ever.

I was at Newcastle Mayfair and Tiffanys in 1986. Joyous gigs mate

I agree with the joyous atmosphere. I saw them at the Hacienda in around 87. They played the whole first album and then medicine show a second time at the end

Such an underrated band. I think critics and maybe old Clash fans couldn't quite wrap their head around the idea of Mick Jones fronting a dub/raver band. Plus, I think B.A.D.'s real brilliance didn't translate to the recorded medium. They were a party band.

@@davidsundqvist9511 Anything that carries the sound of the clash to the next level Be it B.A.D. or Joe and the Mescaleros is still some of the best music around.

Their albums were brilliant. So I am going to disagree with you right there. Jones' lyrics were clever and the band made great use of what could only be accomplished in the recording studio.

saw these guys twice at the Longhorn Ballroom, in Dallas, Texas. about 6 months apart, in 1986/87 - only a few months apart. what i remember from the 2 BAD shows was that the audience was on their feet dancing the entire time. for the second show, they performed almost an hour of Prince covers. best live shows i've ever experienced. also saw the butthole surfers there, and the ramones. oh - and the two shows cost $7 apiece. mick jones made a point of mentioning that Journey was playing the same night as the first show (in Dallas), with tickets starting at $15.

Seeing comments below , I don't think BAD were underrated - they're obviously not going to compare to the Clash . I'm grateful to have seen Clash / BAD (& Strummer) live & they could all do great gigs (sometimes) ...but there's not much footage of on KZfaq of BAD at their best ....E- MC2 from Clapham Common '86 is possibly the best .
