A handful of the baddest blown cars that hit the track at the recent feature event held at the Perth Motorplex!
Can't beat the sound of those big blowers screaming away, and unless you have been living under a rock you would instantly recognise Zap's iconic HQ Doorslammer when it rolls out from under the bridge!
The event was held to showcase what's to come this season, and give fans new and old a gentle reminder of what they've waited a good 6 months in the off season for!

Every staging burnout requires a crew member to do a 200m sprint while guiding the car back, has to be fun :)

All part of the show mate :) It’s quite interesting watching the different teams and their routines and how they stage the cars as they all have their different techniques and traditions so to speak… I know some people will just want to see the cars going down the track and aren’t phased about watching what goes on in between but it’s still cool to see, even if it’s just for the drivers who really don’t get to see the teamwork and coordination going on around them when they’re strapped in ready to make a pass!

haha cheers boys! Yeah something different, it’s bloody hard filming two cars from up close - basically have to pick a car and then wait for the other to come into frame down the track… It looks visually cooler but you also miss a lot of what’s going on in the other lane! I much prefer private days purely for that reason 😁 Having both cars in frame takes a little away from the cool factor but you don’t miss as much, both have pros and cons!

Yeah it’s a tricky one as it’s a big venue so it really takes a lot of people to make it look packed to the brim (which we do see) but it’s still freezing here at the track so the weather deters people until it starts to warm up a bit! It should start picking up 👌🏼
