Kenneth.. Nothing, but when Brits can't heat their homes, or get a Doctors Appointment, or get a bed in Hospital, this "mine is bigger than yours" Competition feels great for a few minutes, but .. wasteful after you come down from that "hit".

@@kennethpaudel8138 so you see nothing wrong with the government spending hundreds of millions of of pounds worth of fireworks instead of getting you to hospital on time. You must not know anybody or have any ill family members that rely on ambulances. I live in Namibia and we get ambulances on time and our government spends all their money on gold.

Looking at this, I wanted to have a moment of silence for the late Queen Elizabeth II. As wonderful as it is seeing Big Ben in his glory doing the countdown once again, it's a shame the Queen is no longer around to enjoy this beautiful moment. Happy New Year, everyone and God save the Queen!
