With fashion, they say that the worth of a brand is if it’s figuratively valuable enough when it’s Second Hand. We should apply this definition to books too. Although who am I kidding? I hardly own Second Hand Books.

‘The queer shelf’….first time I have seen a dedicated shelf for this…Somehow I don’t like the term ‘queer’ though. Wish we could accept the community as they are instead of labelling them ‘queer’!

Hmmm, i do see what you mean kind of? Like the original meaning of queer? I think most people have reclaimed that term now. 🤭😂

I'm really late but just had to comment. As a gay man I can tell you, many of us have reclaimed the term. I love "LGBTQ+" but "Queer" just rolls of the tongue better. Also, instead of spending too much emotional energy trying to figure what specific label one fits into, they can just stick with queer and call it a day.
