I’ve been wakeboarding, skiing, and barefooting since I was 6 years old. I’ve never in my life seen anybody do a full spin trying to get up on a wakeboard like hank did 😂

@@dtgonzo90000it’s skiing barefoot. And you have to start with skis on or a boom bar to get the boat up to speed first. You can’t surf with your feet perpendicular because you will just dig and eat it because of physics.

I disagree. Giving it some toe can create lift and take some of the tension off of the pull. Granted, this boat should have been able to pluck them out of the water pretty easily, but everyone was far too rigid and trying to fight the boat.

Stand on the board in the water, but keep it out slightly in front of you. When they start pulling, let the board suck up to your butt and give it some toe. Took me awhile to learn how to get up on a wakeskate, but once I did, it's like OH YEAH, makes total sense.

That’s the key is holding on instead of just letting go when rope gets tight lol. It sure looked like they had no strength on holding onto a rope to allow for some wakeboarding. But props to them for trying . Practice makes perfect.

watching this cracks me up. Man I wish was your y'all size and age. Im what some would call a big boy. lol. 400+ lb and 52 years old but one thing I'm proud of is I can wakeboard. Granted I don't do any tricks and my ride is not long but I've learned to ride. There were things you guys did that made it way harder on yourself. I'm surprised the boat owner didnt give better tips. Rockin a $150k+ Nautiqe G23 that boat was sick

Some basic instruction would have gone a long ways there lol I'm in my late 30s, but can get up on a wakeskate behind a 60hp pontoon because I focused on making my start as easy as possible. My buddy is like 80lbs less than me and he just pops up, it makes no sense to me.

NGL this video had me shook because I went wakeboarding for the first time in nearly 20 years last weekend and I'm old now. I got up the first try with a fishing boat. That driver must have not been very good on instructions.
