Big Cats in the UK. In this video I explore the lack of local media reports/articles on the big cat phenomenon here in North Yorkshire. In my local area, the most recent media coverage in the local papers was back in 2021; here is the article: www.yorkpress.co.uk/news/1957.... Thank you for watching.

Why would paranormal groups need to check paw prints? Big cats in the UK are no more paranormal than muntjac deer, mink, or even grey squirrels that have been released in the UK. Chances are those two inch paw prints were a dog as cats usually have their claws retracted whilst walking. I believe the cheetah is the only exception

It's good having these Cats here as it could help keep some Deer Numbers down

Great video Jake, I firmly believe there are big cats roaming in North Yorkshire, if you remember Jake I commented on another video you posted regarding my sighting in December 2021 on my way to the Malton Rally. I don't believe it to be a fox that I saw nor it to be a dog simply because I work on the railway during the night and see foxes all the time, and not a dog either as it was around 6am on the A171 and why would a dog just wonder across a main road at the time and there was no owner/dog walker. I will be visiting the area again as I have two domestic cats and they both follow the same path through house and I believe big cats have the same habits/behaviours. The area I saw the big cat maybe a regular route it takes.

I do remember Graham, thank you for your continued support. You may be correct as they may be a creature of habit. I have been to the same area many times where I saw my sighting. Not seen it again 👍🏻

Rydale has lots of deer and enormous forest nearby it’s perfect for big cats. I’m wondering how safe it is to wonder around the country side could these cats attack. They are also masters of stealth .

Very true Ant, there are many places for big cats to live in North Yorkshire itself without being detected. Thanks for watching mate.

It’s very safe they are nation wide and have been for a long time, and not one credible report of a attack on a human

They are certainly capable of killing, but are not short of food and would usually have no reason to attack. To them, a human is an unknown quantity.

@@S.Trades Being cornered or possibly if mating are unpredictable situations. Leopards particularly are sometimes dangerous due to being so confident & arboreal, YT has good footage of them attacking in dwellings etc they have entered at night. But they can live comfortably in urban areas undetected except automatic camera's, like burglars & peepers. They leave clear evidence they are about if resident (not so easy to detect if their range is extensive). This lack of a few key clear evidential factors along with lack of trail camera footage (reality TV documentary makers even have success with such simple idiot proof equipment) is not just due to ignorance, its because they are scarce individuals, or don't exist outside some delusional minds.

They could attack... but it's not likely. They are not short of food. We don't look, smell, sound, or behave like prey. Although dogs etc, might be a problem.

Interesting 👍 I would image they might be in hiding since people are out and about.

Cats are cats. Learn cat habits and you will perhaps find them. They like an easy meal. They like high vantage points. They will be asleep most of the day. They usually feed and hunt at dusk or dawn. Pretty sure I was accidentally feeding a big cat by putting out chicken bones for the foxes. See "Pershore Panther", which was just about 200 metres from my place. I've since moved house unfortunately. It was seen right after I left. 😕
