They make alarms for doors that could alert you if Grayson gets up and out of his bedroom. We use the child proof door handle covers on our toddler doors so they don't escape their rooms when we are sleeping.

My oldest was an eloper. When he was 2 I came out of the bathroom to see our front door wide open. It was SO scary. We’ve had locks installed high up ever since.

It's happened multiple times. We have locks on our doors too but sometimes if someone leaves they don't get put back right away. It's so scary

I would get some high locks on all doors that lead to outside. That way if he leaves his room you at least know he's in the house.

She's getting a Cubby bed, but they are very expensive and insurance usually denies it. You are better off applying for a safety bed that your insurance will approve. Talk to a medical supplier and they will tell you all you need ri do and apply for.

But she also mentioned that it usually gets approved the second time around. Even theirs got denied the first time. So trying isnt bad i guess.

It’s not just door locks that are the issue, as I’m sure Tara knows. I taught an autistic child that would get up in the night, run water until overflowing, climb onto the refrigerator to reenact a witch on a broom, and dump clothing out of drawers. The parents were afraid to sleep. For safety, the bed seems necessary.

Geez getting gift cards for teachers is so ridiculous unless it’s under 15 i mean they are getting paid already so a thank you card is enough I don’t think each student needs to get a 25 dollar or more gift card that is too much can’t believe they ask for it smh
