The recruiting process technically kicks off in freshman year of high school. It's a journey that spans until you set foot on campus as a college freshman. 🚀 Rule Changes and Early Commits
College baseball recruiting has seen significant rule changes in recent years. The days of commitments from as early as seventh or eighth grade are thankfully behind us. Now, the earliest a player can commit is August 1 at the end of their sophomore year. This allows for more thoughtful decision-making and less pressure on younger players.
📚 Freshman Year Focus
In your freshman year, focus on acclimating to high school and your baseball team. Understand your coach's expectations and team goals. This is a foundation-building year, setting the stage for more active recruiting efforts in your sophomore year.
