It's great to hear Stuart singing in his natural voice instead of the American nasal whine he adopted after 1986.

That is actually very true, although not many folks would have said it. 😉

Always remember hearing Big Country constantly on in my house in the 80s as a young boy here in Scotland. God rest Stuart. What a band they were.

No one has a better martial drumbeat than Big Mark!

Mark isn't play on this video. I think Pat Ahern is on drums. He was in the BC lineup in '91 while Mark was sitting in on drums for Procol Harum for a couple of years. Pete Wishart is on keyboards. Both are on the 1991 Rockpalast show videos on KZfaq.

@@keithlewington8457 Thanks! That little nugget of Big Country lore has escaped me for years. There is a street musician who occasionally shows up at my local farmers market blowing the bagpipes and rocking a kilt. I used to pester him all the time to play Killiecrankie for me. At first, he didn't know what I was talking about and the only version I could play for him was this poor quality rendering by Big Country (easily, my favorite 80's rock band). The last time I saw him, he busted out a few bars of this song that he had taught himself to play. PEACE
