Absolutely love this guy, such humility, candour, he was the powerhouse of Big Country and Stuart Adamson (RIP) couldnt have have chosen a better partner in crime. To me these guys were the soundtrack to the best of the early/ mid 80s . The best par none !!!

I got Tony’s autograph from the Radio 1 Roadshow in St Ives Cornwall whilst on holiday there. Saw Big Country live 4 times, best band live I’ve ever seen.

Everyone of these guys were so talented and so underrated. God bless Big Country. Steeltown is my favourite. Stuart is gone now and things will never be the same but good luck to those who continue singing his lyrics, they will live forever with me❤

Binging on Big Country which brought me here. One of the best bands ever in my opinion. Never got to know the artists back in the day besides the music and now getting to know the personalities and not disappointed. Much respect to Tony Butler.

Always made a great impression from his days with 'On the Air' with Mark B and Simon Townshend, to the ever-present Bass Dancer himself with BC. As he indicates the 30th anniversary for every album wasn't where he wanted to be; a contemporary band with ongoing music was seen as his realization of the future. I love the work Tony created and for Derek and Scott to put their souls into it means the BC spirit lives on.
