That is TRUE love! That man loved that woman and she loved him. God bless Don & Pat Garlits. When you have a good woman behind you, the sky's the limit!

I met her once... his mother Helen too. Very down to earth. Also Donna, all at the museum.

In my view, Don Garletts is the smartest inovators and truly the leader in top fuel in his day. Rock on Don.

I don't know how I would've reacted if I'd been in his shoes, when it was told that Mrs.Garlits had Parkinson's.That's deep.

Right now, I have a great woman pushing me beyond what a normal person with MS can do.

I drag raced with some of the best in the 90s. Worked on their cars, painted their cars, made friends with a lot of people who are gone now. I too, have MS and a 21yr old son I've gave all my tools to. My wife saved my life in 2013.. I have (Maybe w/help) the chance to show him what I (Old school learned).. MS hit me in 2000. HARD, I feel you. I missed chances w/big names... mskidd68

WHY...!!! didn't the mono-strut design pan out...??? It looks right... It should have changed the whole field one more time for the ol' swamp rat. I don't get it...
