@Citygirl Poland depending on where you live elk, or some cousin of em, can be found. Elk, moose, whitetail, mule deer, blacktail, roe, red deer, caribou, reindeer, coues deer, etc. Red deer is the closest thing to elk.

I've hunted them in Idaho where I live for right at 40 years now and hearing a bugle on a crisp cool early morning, while packed into either the Selway bitteroot or salmon river breaks/frank chuch wilderness where I've horse packed into for many years now is still something to behold,,,,yes it make those hairs stand up for sure,,,even more so is your bow hunting and you hear one bugle like that and and they sound so far away,,,,then you do your best bugle back at them not expecting any reaction but he answers back so you send another one at him then all of a sudden he bugles again and he sounds like he is right on top of you and for the life of you you can't figure out how the hell he covered all that ground through bug jungle thick underbrush and mountainsides so steep and long it would take you half a day or better to traverse,,,but bam you catch site of him less than a couple hundred yards away and coming fast all the time he's snorting pawing the ground and looking hard for that other bull to kick some butt,,,,so you snort Grunt and weeze back at him to piss him off even more and make him throw caution to the wind and keep coming,,,you knock an arrow your about to be face to face with one of the most premier animals hunted anywhere,,,,then there he is one false move if he detects he's been fooled by a human and he will explode and be gone out of there before you can blink,,,,yepper been through that a few times in my life and a couple have gotten away but my arrow has also taken down a few and as well I've take quite a few with rifle and it never gets old hunting those guys they are the ultimate challenge to the hunter bar none.
