I just love how Denon just keeps the improvements coming. Gives you confidence that it's not just a money grab and they intend on supporting their gear for years to come.

Except for that's not the case entirely. The fact that only the new Denon gear is going to be getting certain features hints at hardware support going bye bye for some devices.

@Americo Perez Well, if you're speaking of the old denon gear that's not part of the prime eco system, of course, it won't be supported. But they made the entire prime system to be updated until the chips can't support new technology updates. It's been 6 years since the first prime units hit the stores (SC-5000), and the units still work as well as any new unit or controller in the same prime line. While the pioneer nxs line is constantly upgraded every three years with minimal improvements but just enough improvements to make previous models almost irrelevant. So yea, I'll put my money with Denon cause I get amazing quality at a reasonable price, and I don't constantly have to update my gear every three years. Thank you.

@@sinistai.z.3622 I was talking about fairly new devices like the Prime Go. That stuff isn't all that old but it already is basically being obsoleted even though it has the same software.

its about time, if they had decent effects originally I might not have bought all my pioneer gear, I love new DJ gear, and I dont care how much it costs... cheap or costly. Its all a value proposition.

Touch FX is such a beautiful thing to have for people like me with an FX-less mixer e.g. Xone96! I don't use FX much myself, but other DJs playing on my Xone at our parties have been asking about "DJM style FX" every time :D Denon has taken things to yet another level here imo.

Pretty much everything the mixer can do then (effects wise) still tho nice touch by Denon.

That quick glance over the Smart Playlist. I tried to set some parameters. theres no options. Many fields have only one parameter, contains. Its gonna need more then one parameter to be like it needs to be. eq: Genre, Contains Deep, Does not Contain House. or Contains Tech, does not Contain Techno. Etc...

This looks awesome! I'm excited to update all my gear. I wondered if you guys have ever thought about making a DJ course that does a deep dive on properly using effects. I feel I could be doing a lot more with all the effects I have available to me. I know you guys go over effects a little bit in different courses. But If you guys made a whole course dedicated to all the ins and outs of DJ effects I would definitely buy it!

Hey guys! I'm a little late updating my controller. How do you get the drop down sampler to work? When I double tap on roll all I'm seeing is the 1/8-1/4T and so on.

Am I the only one thats having issues after this update? My channel 3 sometimes won't stop when I want it to stop and sometimes the channel 3 won't click, say I'm on channel 12 or 4 it works but if I try going back to channel 3 the buttons won't work... So frustrating 😢

I tried to put your tipp from one of your course with the „key smartplaylist“ but there are not enough rules to keep all keys in there. Do you know one way that it will be possible? For Example like the rules in virtual DJ, where you can put it, in one line.

Very shortly Engine will be updated to feature what we call “fuzzy key mixing”, which means the key sync button will work properly and you won’t have to do any of this.

I have the Mixstream Pro and so far it says there are no updates for it. I did upgrade my windows laptop version to 3.1 but the controller is stuck at 2.3.1 I believe it is. How can I get it up to 3.1? Thx.

When you go to the settings on the unit it should just prompt you, I'd ask the question of their support if you've got an issue.

Roland 808 has great Serato effects, so you'll have to use those

How come I can't have my auto gate time Parameter past 1/4 it use to go to 1/8 and 1/16 1/4 doesn't sound right with drum and bass it's better at 1/8 with the auto gate sound fx. In addition I enjoy using the blue fx button and the sweep fade fx nob at the same time as my pushing the blue fx button for the auto gate fx so I can see my songs and time them better. I do not care for this upgraded version to where I am no longer able to do this, and I am forced to use the touch screen. Please help me fix my autogate fx time parameter nob back to 1/8 and 1/16 🙏❤❤❤
