BIG GUY GEAR REVIEW 6: Helinox Chair One

Testing out the Helinox Chair One. It claims to hold 320Lbs, I wanted to see if it really held up. I used it for hours and hours inside and out. Heck I'm sitting in it while I post this video!
They sell a "ground sheet" to stop poles from sinking, I think they should include it with purchase. but overall I was impressed!

Awesome video. It's hard to find reviews on equipment for a big guy like myself (240lbs). The product descriptions are always in the "perfect" world scenario. Also congratulations on the weight loss! Keep it up.

Really love your gear reviews you don't know what it means to find somebody else out there that's a big guy camping it's so hard to walk into camping stores and be judged the minute you walk into the minute you walk out the hardest thing I have a trouble with is close just wondering where you got your jacket

I get that questions quite a bit, I ordered it right from Columbia's Website. however my favorite by far is the "bugaboo" Jacket I had also Columbia. Oh man same thing he said.. im pushing 345 and its so hard doing a walk in camp since the gear is so large to pack. Car camping is great. Im down a good 50lbs but i gotta keep going! Great reviews

I am just under #300 lbs been using the Helinox sunset Chair for nearly 5 years an love it. Been on many camping and motorcycle trips. Great quality and service

Looks like a great chair for us larger guys.. Being around 245 my only concern is getting in and out.. I have some back problems and without arms on a chair I have a little difficulty getting up. Still bettier than the ground though.. Thanks for the honest review !!!

Big guy myself so really appreciate reviews like this. Maybe go for a XL version of this chair? Same weight limit but a bit more roomier....

Thanks for the great review, I'm a bigger guy myself, and your video just sealed the deal for me, I'm getting one. I've been hauling the sunset chair around on my backpacking trips, I like the high back on that one, but I'm not sure if that is worth the extra pound it adds. Cheers!

Well done in loosing weight. I am leaving 130 kg (app lb 287?) going for a normal weight which would be app 50% of current weight. I tried this chair but found it a bit to expensive and since I am going to hike through Europe with a hiking stroller-something I decided to save money and go for a cheap, less quality chair and just buy a new one once in a while. I would definitely go with a helinox on a hike with backpack though.

Hey Brad, This is a Columbia Jacket, I think its called "titanium" its a size 4X with a standard Columbia Fleece Jacket underneath!!

I only weigh about 150#, (same as in Basic 40 years ago) so mine is AMAZING and should last the rest of my life if I can keep it out of flames. (BTW, They're as low as $54 for some colors on Amazon now, due to everyone wanting the Chair Zero. And I'm cool with the almost half price savings from what you paid.)

had to settle on this chair as well as a big guy. Even my friend who weighs 150lbs says the chair zero feels small for him!

I love your reviews, it can be hard to find decent gear for big guys. We really appreciate it. I really like that jacket your wearing but I cant find it in 4x, can you tell me where you got it?

New sub here, found your channel looking for reviews on the “Chair One” good review. I’m a big man myself, lost 29lbs since January, down to 301lbs as of today. Do you have a recommendation for a backpack for larger hikers? Just doing day hiking now but want to start doing weekend hikes. Thanks and appreciate your videos 👍

I just bought an osprey Aether 60 ag. It was pricy but its the most comfy pack I’ve ever worn. Waist belt fit no issues. Congrats man on the weight loss! It’s a great feeling!

@@rctruckernut hi I know I’m late to the party but I just had to jump in here and hope you both see my post because I’m a larger guy on a weight loss journey and I just bought a Gregory pack. They have a special big and tall backpack line that’s specially made for plus sized people. Bigger and longer straps etc. in many of their popular models. Please go and check out Gregory’s website and give them a whirl. I got a 45L with plans on buying a 65 or 70 that they had in the plus sized pack. Hope this helps everyone out that doesn’t know about their line. Also they sell extensions for their waist packs!! Happy trails gang and you all stay blessed and Merry Christmas and happy New Years!

Literally if you did nothing but Big Guy Gear Reviews, your channel would go nuts. I am 6'5" tall and range from 240 to 280 or more depending. The world is not made for us!
