Big Hits - Wrestlers simply make better Football Players

9 жыл бұрынI've seen my son play football before he was a wrestler and after. He's definitely a better defensive player since he started wrestling in 7th grade. As a Jr, he made 60 Strength All Colorado LB of the Year and 1st team All Conference.
Wresters make better football players. Football players don't necessarily make better wrestlers. Let me know if you have a different view.

I thought double sessions in football was tough. Then I went to two weeks of prep practice before regular wrestling started. The easiest wrestling practice was harder than the hardest football practice. Being a whopping 133 lbs at the time I stuck with wrestling and dropped football.

Wrestlers definitely can make for beastly football players. The muscle memory you get from years of wrestling definitely helps in Football.

Wrestling teaches you to control your weight and leverage opponents. Every position but quarterback and kicker benefits from that.

I never played football but I always thought wrestling is the best sport football player can do to get better at football especially for O-line or linebackers. Ray Lewis was a State champ I believe.

Conversely i think football players (linebackers and defensive lineman really) make better wrestlers. They're better prepared for the grind than other sports
