Bar for bar JC is one of the best writers ive seen in 35 years. Ive watched this battle 76 times. Real shit! No brag just fact that his pen is fuckin ridiculous! 1000! He was right when he said his brain works on a whole different level. Mad Respect from Va and Nc! Big Kannon's pen is nasty but JC sounds like a Serial Killer of the alphabet. With all the flips and freestyles/Rebuttals it made this battle a classic for sure. Id pay to see him drop some mainstream artists. Especially Em!

1st time seein this battle. Wow. Totally agree with u on that. Watched Shine vs Roc recently and shit was just boring or average. Just good wordplay without saying anything with substance. Its pretty much what most rap battles are these days. Nothing that makes you go wow or bring some type of emotions out of the viewers like this battle. Crazy how a battle from 4years ago has so much substance and impactful writtens than most rap battles from nowadays. You would think battle rappers would've expended the content of the written by now. But nah they still stuck writing about the same shit from years ago just with different setups and different rhymes schemes.

Then look at somebody like Brizz Rawsteen. Very limited bars. Great stage presence, cadence and most importantly, performance. If Chilla Jones still had his bars but could take every thing else from like a Brizz or K shine, he would be the best in the world no doubt. Now see how its more than just bars? I'm in the middle of Kannon's first round, fuckn jeeze... lol fena be a long night for JC lawddddd. Ok, maybe not hmm... I respect that Kannon was able to freestyle an entire 2nd round but it wasnt touching JC's 2nd obviously, it lost steam after a while. Those back to back double entendres in JC's 3rd were hitting whew, Kannon's opening rebuttal was fire, lots of hits and misses in this round though. Damn this battle was actually closer than people are saying. Great battle, the fans won.
