Someone should have told him to jump like a pencil. Straight up and down so you don’t smack the water and always brace for the water. Make sure you jump stiff and tightened up or flexing your body. If you jump relaxed you can get hurt. I seen a guy jump from 50 feet one time and he jumped relaxed and when he hit the water it broke his neck and he drowned. Be safe out there kids. 😐👍

Never tuck your legs when you jump! Never! Thank God I had friends in the water cause they knew I was scared. For a few seconds I couldn’t tell which way was up until I finally saw the bubbles. I only weighed 110lbs and as soon as my shins slapped I could not feel my legs, feet…..nothing! The guys got me out of the water and off we go to the hospital. I had two massive hematomas drained twice and compression hose applied for a week. I stayed in the cabin at the lake and watched tv for that week. What a fun vacation!!! 😫😳
@leacebee58929 ай бұрын
Not that I'd ever jump from that height but I'm curious why you shouldn't tuck your legs under you? And is holding your legs together straight down better or holding your legs in the splits pose better

If I am right about recognizing this place, I have jumped there a few times. I think that this place is on the upper Imnaha river in eastern Oregon. You have to walk about a mile back in from the parking lot at the closest campground. My middle son and I did this. There was a bald eagle watching us from a snag close by. The water is really cold.

I have a friend, a really awesome guy, whose buddies chanted and pressured him into doing a jump in an isolating swimming spot even though **he couldn't swim** 😱 One of the guys insisted he was a trained lifeguard and would get him out. They wouldnt stop until he jumped. He yelled, "I hate you guys!!" On the way down ...and immediately began struggling to stay at the surface. Mr "lifeguard" froze up and did nothing, so another friend jumped in, and they were both drowning...finally another friend who had first training saved them. Life's too short to let your bros make it even shorter, imho.
