@ThayGiQuay thank you for the comment. It was pretty wild finding two big batches like that two weeks in a row. Next year right ahead of the season I’m gonna make a video in the woods and show everything I’ve learned about how to find them

You should get a mushroom bag. Better for preserving mushies and spreading spores as you go. Thanks for the vid 😊

After the fact that’s what I was thinking, They were in a weird spot. They were up in the woods, but at the same time all the woods are around There is so fresh that it could’ve been. Also, I did find one of that tree that was still alive that had white flowers on it and that made me think apple trees also since my apple trees were flowering. That’s one thing I have noticed is a good indicator, although there are several, looking for morels apple trees in the area flowering morels are growing. I noticed that the last two years.

@CreationDust777 thank you very much. It’s a gift That God has dignified us in such a way that we can share these spiritual truths. I did not intend on going that route on KZfaq but then Seeing how you shared scriptures in their relevance to the material you were producing inspired me to start doing the same! 😀

@BearandtheBossLady-nx2lv glad to be an inspiration, makes me feel good. Your good with the way you share it. I'd say you have a knack for that aspect. Might check back on you in a year or two and find you've become a preacher.

What state are you in? We live in SW VA and my husband has found very little of the morels. He usually gets a big bunch like you are getting today. They are some really nice ones! If there is a tick anywhere, it will get on him too!😊

We are in southeast Ohio. I usually don’t find as many as I have this year. It’s been a weird year as not seeing many associated with poplar trees like we usually would. And ticks has been worse than normal I think. Anyway I like western Virginia. I would love to live around Big Walker mountain area. I go to Bristol a lot is how I’m familiar with western Virginia. Thanks for watching Joyce

Yes. Learn your trees by bark and by how they bud in the spring. Elms, poplar, ash, bitternut and shag bark hickory, sycamore, cherry are best around me. In flatter grounds follow the flow of water, natural drainage but not ditches. Early in season you want to look where the sun hits first in the spring (east) then west last of the season. If you find grays go back a week later look for yellows and keep looking where you find earlier morels (black gray white) for yellows toward the end of the season. Michigan is known to be one of the best places in America you could look for them Keep checking them places every year. Also, if you find one, it’s a good bet. At least one more is close within 10/15 feet. Seldom is there just one. There’s a lot can be shared but hard to put it all in a comment

@@outdoorswithwoodswoman8467 there are so many things I’ve learned in last 5 years but nothing is more valuable than learning the trees then ground temps tell you when to start. When ground temps are above 50 degrees you should be looking, which they likely are even in some areas of the UP by now. Also it came early this year. Where we are in southeast Ohio most years this is prime time and it’s pretty much over here. I know a KZfaqr in temperance MI (just north of Toledo) that was finding yellows two weeks ago. So they are up in the mainland

@@outdoorswithwoodswoman8467 I like that idea and bet there are people who would guide if someone paid them. I can’t do that as I work full time plus chainsaw carve plus participate in preaching work so I never lack something to do lol! Plus country life there’s always a tree feel over or high grass or apple trees need sprayed lol never ending love of busy life 😊 but I’m sure someone would morel guide if paid for it
