I will be praying for y’all!! I’m in Florida, and my favorite thing is to grow things. The dirt (sand sand sand) is terrible where I am in South Florida, but we buy dirt. Yesterday, one of our beautiful banana trees had its first flower! Next, we will have bananas. So, you can certainly grow things, but you might need to plant different things. Congratulations! A year and a half ago we moved from northern Illinois to the Northeast Tennessee. My parents brought our family peonies with us. They got 3 generations and are doing pretty well considering their new climate. 😃

Congratulations! Moving has its’ difficulties, but as your Mother-in-law said, think of it as an adventure. I’m my 20’s my husband & I moved abroad, to France & Israel. Then we came back home to Maryland with a daughter, and son. Lots of adjustments plus long plane rides but it was an adventure and I remember fondly at the experiences.
