In 4th grade, you'll just pick up where you left off in 3rd grade and you'll definitely know what 3rd grade schema to tap into while teaching. I'm sure your former school hated to see you go, but your new school is fortunate to have you.

Yay God is good. Congratulations! There isn't that much of a difference between third and fourth it's just the work is a little bumped up and the students are just as sweet should be fine enjoy.

One thing that is difficult to get adjusted to in fourth grade is the additional instructional minutes required. Thirty-five students do take up a lot of space, and that will be also difficult if you have to adjust for physical distancing. Why are schools having combination classes? It may be an economical strategy, but is it an ethical one. I was a 4/5 combination teacher this past academic year and it was such a struggle because of distance learning. I never felt as if I could decompress from work. Best of luck to you.

Now question: Since you got a smart board (what’s interesting is that, not really everybody uses the old smartboard anymore from my age which is pretty sad, cause I LOVED playing on that in my hearing impaired teacher’s room) and you also have the TV, which one are you using to teach with? This year will be my cousin’s 2nd year of teaching 4th Grade and I haven’t heard all about it last year from her yet, but fun fact, when I was little, when she was in college, I made her switched majors from nursing to teaching thanks to my little kid age teacher self and my first and old classroom at my old house, but since she’s started teaching, she has been teaching 2nd grade until last year! I’m definitely going to missed your 3rd Grade teacher self! Also, are you guys departmentalized? I started departmentalized when I moved to my 2nd elementary school as a kid for 4th and 5th grade!
