Also mark calls out how good odegard is compared to Bruno but Arsenal plays possession based football, so he has time on the ball, ETH plays transition and counter attack, so it’s all about quick passes and movement, no time to think, so I think that’s what Bruno’s main issue is and that’s not him downing tools.

Usually I can see Mark's line of logic, even when they are a bit convoluted and even if I don't agree with him. But that is a classic example of coming to a conclusion and working backwards. Not to say players haven't downed tools, but that was a bit all over the place

I think it's obfuscating what "downing tools" means to people, making it too abstract. I see what he means, there are a lot of reasons why individual players underperform and, at the top level especially, a lot of them are mental. "Downing tools" isn't that though, he was stretching it too much with what he said even if the specific examples he gave were understandable

I really don't get what went so horribly wrong with ETH. From preaching such high standards and need for game control last season, to this seasons shambolic chaos! It's like two different managers. But even taking into account the Kamikaze football he played at Ajax, which got him knocked out of Champs Semis, the football looked really good and coherent. This football he sets up atm is just mind boggling. It's suicidal but without the coherence. It's been really sad to watch him over the last 4 or so games.

If the manager cannot instill discipline, motivate and train the players to play his way, then what good is the manager? These traits are the hallmark of Utd during the Ferguson era. So if the players are "really downing tools", then something is seriously wrong with the manager, not only the players. ten Hag's insistence on playing out of form players like Rashford, Antony, Casemiro, Bruno and not giving the others a proper run of games is his own undoing, nobody else's. How many times have we seen him make questionable/untimely substitutions since last season? That is all on the manager.

Arteta had a toxic squad and finished well down the table. When he got rid of the toxicity and he got his players in they are competing. Same will happen with ETH, IF they get rid of Rashford Mctominay Maguire Bruno Lindelof etc. Replace them with technical modern pass and move ballers who are young and hungry.

The biggest problem we have is that the glazers and ineos are looking for short-term gain, but that comes with long-term lost, what we should be doing as a club is thinking of short-term lost for long-term gain l, ship.out the players that doesn't want to b here or can't play the way ETH wants and give him time to bring the players that will in.

We have established that not all the players have given up and there’s this crazy strategy the manger can use for the players who have, don’t fucking play them. If ETH plays these players that have given up, then he deserves to go, because he won’t sell the right players, he doesn’t play the right football and clearly cannot control the dressing room, so we need a better manager who will do the clear out properly.
