This is a diy video removing the motor from a 2011 Honda Big Red 700 side by side. I will leave a link in the video with the engine tear down which is the same as the Rincon 680 engine. Thanks for checking out my videos.

Great video!! I bought a 2010 big red for a $100. Run but wouldn't move. with the help of your video, I split the engine put $1,200 in new part and it has run perfect for 2 years! But yesterday my grandson went across the pasture and it quiet. It will start but when you touch the gas it dies. Any Idles. I checked the fuel pressure, and it was 48 lb. Thanks for all your help!!

Thanks for the video. I'm looking at buying one of these that needs motor work and trying to figure out of it's worth the trouble. I've worked on a ton of Honda ATV's but never one of these. Your video helps.

It is very similar to the Rincon engine.

Did you figure out why it was burning oil I have the same buggy blowing smoke just want to make sure it’s nothing else before doing rings and valve seals
@FourwheelerDoctor3 жыл бұрын
It was the rings. The intake boot had come off at the throttle body and it had been sucking dust in the engine from a dusty construction site.

Man thanks for the video i have one of this units in my shop trying to move the front diff i have removed the 2 bolts but cant seem to get to slide forward is there more than the 2 bolts that needs to be removed
@FourwheelerDoctor Жыл бұрын
I haven't ever pulled one of those but I am pretty sure it only has two bolts. Stick a pry bar under the diff and pry up on it before you pry it forward.

Loved your video on bigred muv 700 wondering where fuel filter is on a 2012 muv700

I don't think it has one except for the one in the tank.

What is the trick to reinstalling the front driveshaft?? I’m struggling and the diff is unbolted still!

Your video helped me find that the oil pickup screen was clogged up!

I'm kind of late on this but the key to installing the drive shaft is to lift up on the diff with a crowbar and slide it all the way forward.

Can you tell me where the hose from the side of the air box hooks up.. at your 9 min 4 second mark you can see it under the boot for the throttle body…

It wasn't connected when I removed this engine and could have been some of the reason for it smoking too. Seem like it connected on the right side of the engine to a nipple on the crankcase. It is the crankcase vent.

Can you tell me how to set the timing on one of these? I replace starter 2 time in last year. Thinking it was the starter.but at times.when you go to start it. it acts like the battery is almost dead.. but leave set a few minutes..it might crank over fast and start.. had it back fire the other day..that is what made me think. it could be the Timing..But have not changed the spark plug either.. any thoughts? Thanks

I would check valve clearance. This engine is the same as the Rincon as far as the mechanicals of the engine go.I will post a link of one of my Rincon videos that shows setting the valve clearance.

I'm wondering if you can share some information with me. A friend of mine, brought to my house a BR 700 with the tranny slipping. There doesn't seem to be much info on the internet about this problem with the BR, other than the oil pump chain slipping, I have a pretty high mechanical aptitude, rebuilding engines, trannies, etc. Just wondering ( with your experience) what is the most likely cause of this tranny slipping and what I should be looking for on the teardown?

Is it slipping in every gear?
@brianmcneese96593 жыл бұрын
@@FourwheelerDoctor All forward gears, not so much in reverse. Started out slipping when at operating temperature, quickly went to slipping all the time.
