This is a no-brainer. I started driving trucks in 2000. Even then, there was a built in delay on the brakes being released after you took your foot off the pedal, combined with an automatic throttle up when a load was detected on the transmission so that you wouldn't roll back on a hill start. The only time you rolled back was if you took your foot off the brake but didn't let the clutch out. Also, for those of you who have never driven one of these vehicles, when you are stopped at a traffic light or stop sign, you're only pushing the clutch in about 1/2 inch.

I miss top gear usa with tanner, Rut and adam. It was pretty good after season 2

When I was learning to drive a semi, we had to start off with a trailer with 37,000 pounds of scrap paper on pallets in it and on a hill with a 4% grade. And it was done on the third day of our training. If you rolled backwards it wasn't good, because you were on a city street.

I genuinely like these episodes of TG USA. I agree initially it wasn't very good but I think they're getting better.

1 you don't use the trolley bar for anything other than to tug test your trailer, 2 i feel sorry for the Peterblit 3 i could have done that so much better 4 if you push the clutch all the way down theres this thing called a clutch brake that stops it from spinning so you wont grind the gears
