Rock Train Running On Lightly Used East End Of Track From Seaman To Peebles, Ohio. Close look at the rusty rail before and after a long train on Cincinnati Eastern Railroad. This track is used as needed but the quarry is starting to get the tracks busy. These tracks were closed by Norfolk Southern some years back but now they have been brought back to life by CCET. This is Part 2 for the video that I posted yesterday showing a Sunday train with railroad switching at a customer next to an awesome railroad crossing. The train is first seen in Seaman, Ohio. This use to be the end of the active track when I made the video about the runaway tank car. Then we see the other side of the train a few miles east of here in Lawshe, Ohio. After that we see the train passing through Peebles, Ohio where a new CCET customer has started using a siding to load untreated railroad ties into rail cars. Then comes Chessie and Norfie and then finally the slide show. Filmed May 23, 2022
Don't forget about Chessie and Norfie at the end of the video and please leave a comment!

I'm So Happy that the CCET is getting New Business and bring Rails back into service and growing . Glad to see these Short Lines coming back to LIFE that the Big Railroads threw them to the side and forgot about the small business Men who got the Railroads wear they are today without them they would have never made it without the small business man. Awesome Video Son...

Same thing in central Pennsylvania. A lot of the railroads were abandoned by the class 1 railroads but were brought back by the North Shore Railroads. It's also good seeing a lot of the local industrial areas use the railroad to ship and receive their products and materials.

That concrete base for the water tower is built to some heavy duty specs. Apparently there was another track to access the tank and possibly a coaling tower. Makes one think a 2-6-6-2 served the area. One almost senses that little white shed saw it's last 40ft boxcar circa 1969. Fresh ties from a rural sawmill. Getting back to roots with the small shipper one car at a time. Thanks for the updates JT!

The leader, CCET 3512 was built in 1977 as BN 7010. Unlike NYSW 3024 (BN 7200) which was sold to Helm Leasing after the BNSF merger, it went straight to BNSF as BNSF 7010. It then went to Helm Leasing as HLCX 7010. It then went to Norfolk Southern as NS 3512. It was then sold to Mervis Recycling in 2020, before it was purchased by the Cincinnati Eastern Railway

Almost on schedule here, Señor Jaws... cloudy, threat of T-storms, only 54°F/12°C at 8:15 am. Our two hottest months are April and May (not June, July, August, first half of September... like most northern lats)... because of our high elevation and onset of the rainy season (June through October) with warm Caribbean rains brought inland, upward and cooled. In the next couple of days, our highs in the 80°F now will be down to the low 70°Fs. So, my Hawaiian shirt days will include a sweater. Cozy looking little towns you featured today. Lot's of heavy woods and greenery. Probably will be pretty darn muggy there soon... summer and all. Of course, keep one eye on the rails for R/R safety... but, I've seen enough Ohio Bigfoot videos now in my YT retirement ... to tell you to keep the other eyeball peeled for the big hairy guy. Your hobby is NOT without some risk. Gracias por tu video. RT sends, Puebla, México...
