A week after claiming he thought he could keep them up, Big Sam is back in the Premier League with Leeds United.
This appointment has resulted in a No Tippy Tappy Football first, with our very own 'Interim' co-host Tim Sherwood stepping in alongside Natalie Pike for the rest of the season.
Tim and Natalie are joined by former Leeds United player, manager and lifelong fan Simon Grayson to share their instant reaction to the news of Sam Allardyce being named as the new Leeds boss.

@@clivet3252 he has won promotion with 4 clubs, including Leeds. Not quite sure what one has to do to reach the higher echelons of 'top' in your definition

@@TalibanAtrocities He has the best team in League 1 and still nearly messed it up. Preston were a big club for that level, as were Huddersfield and they were pretty much guaranteed the play offs when he went in there. At Blackpool he inherited good players and had Tony Parkes with him.

Brilliant Simon I remember that Bristol Rovers game absolutely Brilliant ending I took my daughter to her first game so it very was very emotional and excited end thanks to Simon and Germain Becford

I think if they had got Sam in 4 games ago - they would have survived - but to leave it with 4 games, the first 2 of which they will lose - I suspect it is too late! If he keeps them up, then many will think it divine intervention!

Leeds have the hardest run in with City, Newcastle, West Ham & Spurs you expect them to get 4 to 6 points Leeds have only taken 1 point from their last 4 games against Liverpool, Fulham, Leicester & Bournemouth it’s going to be tough but not impossible

He supports Liverpool. Did you enjoy losing 5-0 at home to Blackpool then? He was rotten. Got some of the worst results in our history, signed some of the worst players in our history and talked rubbish.

Lampard should never have left Derby, problem is one decent season in the championship, in your debut season, is not Premier League material. You need consistency, You need time to figure out that your style works, before you up the opposition calibre. Moving the Chelsea the first time was a mistake, a mistake he made again going into the cauldron of Goodison. He needs to get a lower league job, and build a resume.

Grayson is probably the worst manager of all time - certainly the worst of those who have been in continuous employment. I couldn't stand him as manager of Leeds.

And yet he got us promoted to the championship, also did well at Blackpool on a non exsistent budget......the worst Leeds manager is David Hockaday.

@@footballvslife2413 Hockaday had 4 games. Grayson had 3 years. He should have got us promoted with the team we had, and he nearly messed that up. He blew promotion the next season. At Blackpool he inherited good players and had Tony Parkes with him. He's been sacked from everywhere, dropped down the leagues and has ended up in India. Why do you think that is?

Did he refuse to sign you an autograph or summat 🤔
