as a general rule, high fashion brands don't offer a sale greater than 10-15% as they rather destroy the product than allow it's reputation to fall. If you are a VIP or VVIP customer, you will get an offline discount or access but when you see a high fashion brand openly advertising a reduction of 30% or greater, just walk away.

Reality is that in Dubai original Balmain has given license to produce to these stores. Now they produce their own products, in Dubai and sell under Balmain name. It’s is legal arguement and all official. Got to know about this in London from Balmain country head over there. I raised the same query which you had.

Gaurav, Balmain is mid tier luxury brand. Regardless, no luxury brands will discount their products to 70%. By doing that it hampers the exclusivity the brand offers. I haven’t shopped in Dubai but i doubt that big brands like LV, Gucci, Dior, Celine offer significant discounts in the malls.

I am from Dubai only the flashy not so important people wear Balmain here, just like Guess products and Giodarno watches in India. True rich never appreciates or endorses such loud brands. Indians is yet to understand this with time as their taste matures with more money. Right now everyone just wants to flash their new found money with these brands. Its better to create your identity around what you do, rather than endoring such brands to prove your worth.

Hi Gaurav, you are absolutely right! But there is a genuine real balmain store in dubai which is opposite chloe store in the luxury Avenue. It’s a very small store and that’s the only original store and there are no discounts in that store. The other 2 shops with 70% discounts are the fake or Arabic balmain. However no other big luxury brand in Dubai mall is fake.

Basically, I’m residence in Dubai and Balmain is very common as a brand, but we never thought it would be fake even I have some stuff.. I recently visited Dubai mall and I was literally in front of balmain not knowing it was fake safely, I don’t buy anything,. And would never till they take actions regarding it. Do not buy from the Balmain store in the ground floor and one on the level 2 (ones with huge discounts - 75%). The original Balmain store is the one on Fashion Avenue in the mall. The other 2 stores are just licensed store which sell similar products of lower grade material because the own a license to sell. They could be manufactured anywhere. Apparently original Balmain can't do anything because of the license which they sold which is tarnishing the image of the brand. BEWARE! They also dont accept returns nor do they refund.

Balmain Paris (Company) 1) Must Be Getting a Revenue%.. 2) Quality/Design/Aesthetics Must Be Good.. 3) UAE Market Collection or Sales Strategy Must be Different and Thus Must Have Tied Up with a Local Partner to Use their Name.. 4) Local Partner is Now Fully Exploiting the Agreement.. 5) Balmain Eyes Closed as Higher Sales is Coming compared to their Other Stores..

There are 3 stores in Dubai Mall the only one which is in Fashion Avenue ( Ground Floor has 2 stores ) one which has 70% or any kind of big discount that one is fake. The official store close to Fashion Parking.

The fact that you bought a fake bag thinking that it's real and couldn't differentiate until someone pointed it out to you, proves that it's not worth buying luxury bags/clothes. There is literally nothing incremental you get out of this.

Unfortunately Dubai UAE & Arab countries is packed with fake or replica high-end brand shops. As is Balmain in this Mall, especially All items are replica but sold as real Balmain from Paris. Middle east Arab countries are doing or recreating fake fake products & cheating customers. But anyways Thank you for highlighting this issue & creating awareness. Have a great day 👍🏻

Tax refund ke time pe check kyu nahi kiya you would have got to know at that point .if that store is registered with planet or not ,original hota to you would have received tax refund on this.

Not that one, the balmain in mall of the emirates is the questionable one. You didnt find it on the site because its old design. Dont worry yours is fine.

I will now have to buy anything branded with the website open on my mobile and match the minute details on the product and the website. 😂 Dubai has been overhyped as a credible shopping destination, I have seen people bringing in home decor where the coating wears off after one month, revealing that the decor item was not worth its money.
