Thank you for your video. For those who are unfamiliar with gold smelting process, the addition of pulverized glass melted together with scrap gold forms what is known as slag. The molten slag absorbs impurities from the gold which increases in its purity.

@@iehaningrad645 Thank you for your question. Silver can be purified by dissolving it in nitric acid. Then the silver nitrate solution is used in electrolysis whereby an impure silver ingot is connected to the anode and pure silver therefore gets plated onto the cathode. Similarly gold can also be purified by electrolysis which is known as the Wohwill Process. Impure gold is dissolved in Aqua Regia. In the electrolysis, an impure gold ingot is connected to the anode and pure gold therefore gets plated onto the cathode.

@@jesscorbin5981 Platinum melts at 3,215° Fahrenheit (equivalent to 1,768° Celsius) as compared to Gold which melts at 1,948° Fahrenheit (equivalent to 1,064° Celsius). To melt Platinum would require a much hotter torch such as an Oxyacetylene torch capable of 3,590 °Fahrenheit (equivalent to 1,980° Celsius).

Would any other forms of silica do the same thing? Also worth mentioning I think that modern glass is different from the old school glass and different from but it glass and evidently whatever they put in that glass to make it green isn't a factor as I assume you could use clear glass blue glass or any other type of glass except maybe leaded glass and I wonder about the gold glass in the shielding for the Apollo missions to protect the astronauts from ultraviolet radiation and cosmic rays / ionizing radiation

I noticed you didn't measure that glass powder so I guess ratio isn't crucial but what approximately do you think the ideal ratio should be because you obviously have some sense of how much you want to put in there but didn't indicate what that is or how you determined it.

Cuando la fundición está mal hecha y mal purificada es cuando sale las escamas en las láminas o ilo , na sacaron las impurezas de hierro..

the ancient goldsmith use brick powder and some amount of lead mixed with gold or silver to refine the same way video shows with glass powder,the refine result was pure gold and pure silver,if they want only pure gold they add salt powder to the melted metal,that take out the silver as a silver chloride.

الدهب عندما يخطلت بشوائب مثل القصدير الحديد يصبح غير قابل لسحب توضع له مادة مثل الدقيق تسمى البوتاس او مثل مافعل في الفيديو وضع البديل لذلك الزجاج وهو يقوم بنفس الوظيفة فصل الدهب على الشوائب وللعلم انا الفضة يحصل لها مثل الدهب وتعالج بنفس الطريقة ومعلومة اخرى على ماشي لاداعي لطحن الزجاج حتى يصبح مثل المسحوق

What exactly is the glass doing pulling out impurities or something like that because you pull it back out before it ever became similar to the viscosity of the gold and maybe I missed it but I didn't see you use any flux like boric acid either

It attracts the lesser metals and impurities. Still do not have 24k at the end. Just the same karat 10k, 14k, 20, 22k. If you want pure gold you will need to use aqua regia, or cupel it

لايوجد ضروره لتكسير الزجاج يكفي قليل منه مع اضافه حبوب .براسيتول. واظافه حجر مطحون قليل .يعني هذه المواد الثلاثه كافي لازاله الشوائب .واذا لم تنجح العمليه عليك في تصفيتها واعاده تركيبه عيارها المراد من جديد تحياتي.

Gold24k & F.n.silver .9999 or .999 doesn't lose any weigh too it . other elements do burn way on 10k to 23k gold or Sterling silver 50%-92.5 . this video should clarify this point.
