@@191. I've never bought anything from apple, except 1st iphone, that was may 1st and last apple product. Apple it's a company with great products and design, but too greedy. Same power at minor cost can be obtained buying other options, and I'm researching all I can, cause spending $3000 (my top budget) on a laptop its not an easy and it's a decision that should not be taken lightly, at least in my opinion

@@drbali I think they're starting to do that nowadays - at least the MBP 16 is keeping me hopeful. That MacBook is the best MacBook they've put out since the 2012-2015 MBPr. Hopefully the ARM MacBooks usher in a new era of great laptop hardware from Apple again.

@@KevinShroff ARMBooks are a no go for me. Some people don't buy a Macintosh just to run OS X. They buy a Macintosh so that they can run OS X and Windows and Linux. If they switch from the Intel chips, there will be a loss of compatibility. Until Microsoft makes a good ARM64 Windows, there is no way that I will be switching to an ARM.

Is it stable enough for daily use ?

I still recommend you learn a thing or two on what goes on with the config.plist and all the things opencore does. It will really help you in troubleshooting if something goes. Using someone's EFI without knowing how it will leave you stranded one day the repo is no longer maintained

@@sadafatharkhan4154 hackintosh may normally work without much problems if you are just going for browsing stuff and all but if you just wanna experience such features linux is pretty good. If you get bored just change shit up. All things MAC OS does are pretty much doable and it’s a lot more stable.

I have VoodooPS2, RMI, and VoodooSMB to get my keyboard (PS2) and Synaptics trackpad/keys working. I add I2C and I2CHID and get an inheritance error with RMI and a duplicated CFBundleIdentifier for VoodooInput. Can you share any tips to get the touch screen going? I looked at your config.plist and ours are so different (OC 0.6.8 vanilla) that I can't sort it out. It shows up in IORegistryExplorer. Thanks again.

I just hope that this isn’t the case, especially with a look towards Microsoft and Windows 8, which failed. I think as Apple stands right now with the differentiation between the iPad, Mac and iPhone is good and I think they should keep it that way, even if the iPad and iPhone often function the same.

@@LukasHauf you fail to remember that Microsoft’s failure was because they did too much too fast. Apple’s IOS is not all that different from MacOS. They both have a similar look and feel, and they have for years. iPads are already being used as laptop replacements. Why not move them towards fully functional laptop replacements? And Apple’s separation of iPhoneOS and iPadOS allows them to move towards convergence with the iPad without making changes to the iPhone.

Yes, but also because NVIDIA Optimius isn't supported at all on Hackintosh laptops under macOS

Unfortunately no NVIDIA support - even on real Macs NVIDIA support is being phased out, but even otherwise, no NVIDIA Optimus based Hackintosh laptop (i.e. Intel + NVIDIA dGPU) has dGPU support under macOS. You can still use an eGPU through thunderbolt, but yeah, the internal dGPU is useless and powered off under macOS.

Yes, you can - if you connect a thunderbolt eGPU with a compatible AMD GPU you can use it under macOS just like with a real mac!

Yes, Final Cut Pro is excellently optimized and runs really well despite having no dGPU. I haven't tried Premiere with just iGPU under macOS though so can't comment on that
