We will be back on the road this summer. We got her back together last fall but we took the engine back out to work on the wiring and lights. We were lucky that the car was repairable and the driver wasn't hurt. Can't wait to be out again this summer.

dragginwagon406 We never found anything wrong with he engine but we did talk to the car that went down before us and he lost traction at the same spot we did. He was able to get out of it. The track manger check the track and didn’t find anything wrong. We have never been able to figure it out.

@@blowersurge Ok, that pass looked better and I believe it can or did break into the 4's, i can tell by the squat at the launch, your 60ft time must be out of sight. This track looks very similar to el paso. My question is this, there is green lawn or whatever, banking both sides of the track at about 25-30 degrees. If we walk up either bank to the top, whats on the other side and which way was the wind blowing? If its dry mesquite type varmint desert out there, dont go back to that track. Sounds to me, since the driver before you, got wishy washy near the finish, there is some very light silica type dust grit that is breezing its way onto the track, you never know when it will happen, in el paso, I had a walk in the park to get to the finals and when I saw the same thing i described, I told the official, forget it, see yuh.

@@FIVE-0-APOCALYPTO This is the track 20 minutes from our house in Ohio. The car has been in the 4's most of the last few years before it wrecked. If you are not in the 4 second range there is no point in going to race on street outlaws. We are well aware of the work and sacrifice it takes to race. We take the good with the bad.

We are lucky it was not damaged too bad. She will be back out shortly. The Boxvette is getting ready for a magazine photoshoot in May so we are getting her ready.

Thanks, we were lucky it was easy to fix. We just are not back up and running yet because both father and son drivers are out for the year. One had surgery and the other one had a motorcycle accident.

We were very lucky that the driver was fine and the car is fixable.

All we can conclude is there must have been something o the track. The guy before us said he lost control at the same spot on the track. He came and told us after the crash. We have been racing the corvette for over 20 years and this is the first crash.

We have turned down $150,000 for the car and have won lots of cash racing so I think we are good on value. It is also makes money for us because we are engine builders so it sells jobs for us everyday so it isn't pointless. 😎

There was no confusing. Except for checking the linkage before the run nothing else was different . Checked the wheelie bars and his harness.

@@blowersurge Yes, pass was straight, & you hooked up solid, all the way down, as far as the camera shot I saw. Most probably a "track issue", just like you mentioned. :( Would be cool for you to make the 1/8 mile track "Houston Motorsports Park", so I could "get a REAL eye/ear full"! ;)
