I think he has basically the perfect setup on it, i wouldn’t want it as loud however the turbo is a great upgrade and it probably sounds so sick in real life

@@Serpentis666 when I say vteck will make u go faster people are going to expect something and when I floor it and vteck kicks and I’m smiling in the driver seat and the passenger isn’t it really goes to show I have had over 3 Hondas in my lifetime I had a accord 3.0 and a civic si and a 8th gen regular civic I hate to tell u bud but it’s something your going to have to learn the hard way that vteck is really only “fast” when u tune and mod other than that when it kicks in stock only like 5 hp is added if even that unfortunately u need more education on this matter I’m one of the biggest fans of vteck and the engineering but u can’t be a 10 yo forever believing this

It’s probably hitting the redline and getting some fuel cut. These L15B7s only go to about 6k redline.

The L series engines actually don’t have any lift control if I’m correct they only have variable valve timing, the L series came in the normal 10th gen civics and the Si. The type R came with the K20C engine which actually keeps all of VTEC with lift control and variable valve timing. Anyone correct me if I’m wrong.

Now with the 11th gen they did add the exhaust VTEC to the Si

And a 1.5 Liter turbo charged with no intercooler, they suck and will fry in no time. The best Vtech is the 9th generation, I would prefer a 1999 SI all day over a new one but since they aren’t around im good with the 9t gen

@@0.........0 YES, basically from 9th gen and going back are the best. Sad Honda had to go with a 1.5L turbocharged by the time they hit 100k to 150k the engine is fried.

Yeah 9th gens are really good for boost the head design that is. I miss mine wish I didn't upgrade to a 10th gen

It’s the race to keep up with emissions regulations unfortunately. Small displacement, direct injection, high compression and forced induction is the formula manufacturers are being forced into these days, and this setup (while it still makes power and passes emissions) it’s not really going to behave like the high-reving screamers Honda used to produce.

stock clutch was still on while filming this video. i upgraded to clutch masters fx400

You shouldn't be putting anything lower then 91 in it, ktuner OTS tunes call for 91 I believe, I forget, I run the phearable 1.5t God tune, that calls for 93+ only

@@MrChickenspit rev hang suck sometimes but you get over it or get a tune on the car and it will get rid of it and i live in cali and drive in the city most of the time good car for flying around town havent went on to long of a drive so dont know about that but i punch the gas pedal all day and i get 29mpg so good on gas but i have owned alot of cars and truck and this is the best one yet

Sedan will prolly be worth more in years to come. There are less of them I believe.
