Danny, gotta say, I really like how you support Olivia. Feels good watching her "light-up" like a little kid, knowing you're helping her fulfill one dream after another, doesn't it? Like the movie line says, "Well, that's love, what can I tell you?"❤

Congratulations on your P.B. Olivia! Danny's wheels/tires/exhaust adjustments for the assist 😎. Have to get Danny behind the wheel for some action too. Danny's comment at the end, the burritos and extra food, hope that doesn't weigh the car down... 😂😂😂 Thanks for sharing the event. 🍻

There's little aerodynamic tricks you can do to old cars to get a tenth of a second or two better time. One is to run duct tape around the front windshield along the edge of the Chrome trim to help the air flow over the top of the car and not catch on the trim little stuff like that makes a big difference at 100 mph
@PeteBasel9 ай бұрын
You both are having such a good time it makes me feel good to follow along! Hope you get into the 12s that would be excellent! Car sounds so good! Have you guys considered RAM air, it was common on GTO s in the 60s and they claimed it was good for 10 HP or so. EFI should auto adjust for it obviously.

You knocked off 46 lb using Hank's front tires and the Chevelles drag radials, and 60 more lbs with the removal of the exhaust, a total of 104 lb the Tempest should run like a horse 🐎 without a rider💪🏼💪🏼

This is no help to you but ive always ran a three speed manul with reverse shift pattern. That places 1's in 2nd position, that brings 2nd back to you then 3rd is straight forward. That pulling the shifter back to you to me helps to peddle the cluch with a stiffer return spring I'd use. So quick that I could let my foot slip off the peddle because at this point I ether won or lost...o~`o

FYI, For Wheel hop on a GM Coil spring Rear Suspension, The "Old School" fix is "No Hop Bars" which relocate the upper control arms on stock rear suspension to make the car hook up better. Like a Poor Mans 4-link. If you can still find them. Competition Engineering may have them still. I have a set on my 71' Chevelle and I can Launch the car in the air with a 385 Cu.in. with Nitrous and a Trans Brake.

QA1 makes em! But the Moser rear end I have actually relocates the arms upwards like you described.

if you have the torque it will actually accelerate faster with taller tire and taller gears especially with a big block they wount rev as fast as a small block the taller gears tires covers mopre ground and probably less wheel spin and if your talking turbos the taller gearingh has a better effect for accerating faster it loads the turbo wITH ALOT OF EXHAUST MAKING MORTE BOOST AND MORTE HP PUSHING YOUR RIDE DOWN THE TRACK QUICKER AND FASTER

Hey guys, you really got to find a place to go testing! "I'm hoping..." should never start a sentence when getting ready for a race. Find a warehouse district somewhere, or a flat country road. Better to iron out problems before it hits the track. Also, find any potential safety issues, gotta keep "our girl" safe. BTW, got to throw a 150 shot on that Thang!❤
