Ty Roger’s is an undersized 4 we have 2 primary ball handlers so he is limited since he can’t shoot he is a great roll player but not a guy that can’t be replaced especially with a scorer like Riley!

If Will Riley signs at Illinois, Trey White will leave, and maybe Ty Roger’s, as well. We’ll become a weaker team by adding a 5 star talent. Too many Chiefs, not enough Indians. Setting the stage for failure. Ty will leave for MSU next year anyways, but Izzo would take him right now. Ty may get them to the Final Four. Don’t fall into this trap, Illinois!!

If Ty were to leave I would genuinely be devastated. Love everything he stands for. I don’t disagree with you that we might become a little weaker next season, but I just don’t think a program like ours can turn down a talent like Riley. He has super star potential. Who would you say has superstar potential on this team right now besides him? I really think NEXT season is the year we make a run at a national championship again, and this year is moreso a reloading year. Always appreciate your takes Bill!

You take 5 * talent whenever you can. Riley is a difference maker. If someone wants to leave because they don't want to go up against better talent and make Illinois basketball team better........ Let him leave.
