The uci regulations, state that bikes should not be under 6.8kg, todays bikes can be well under that, meaning that the balls of steel would bring the bike to the 6.8kg limit

I hope you're able to ride now, 7 years on. Similar thing happend to me 23 years ago- came off at 60kph+ . Hip has never been the same and only have 40% of power in that leg. Downhill flying is best left to the pros.
