In this episode the sleeve goes into the cylinder.
It's a minor miracle that this video made it to KZfaq, we have shit weather and I had about 7 power outages while editing, and 3 more while uploading (which takes about an hour on my connection). But it's here now!

2STROKE STUFFING It was the camera! I was so focused on making sure everything was in view that I pretty much forgot what I was supposed to do ;) But in the end it went better than expected!

I've experienced -16 in an Antartic center Christchurch New Zealand. that was crazy cold. - 25 must be beyond description !. On a Family show.

no need to freeze the liner just test how much the alloy barrel expands to when heated up, to get your tight fit when the barrel cools off, I do them at 0.1mm fit and use a weed burner its quicker than the oven and use a temp gun to keep control of the heat great job

Try scribing a Line on your sleeve and one on the barrel that's how I do it works spot on every time also I put a ballon in the sleeve and fill it with water then freeze it this will give you more time to rotate the the sleeve and get it aligned

Nice job, removing the sleeves is how I used to port cyls back when I was racing. the Rotax 454s had notches in the top lip of the sleeve for for the cyl studs that made it easier to line up when putting them back in.

snocrushr I've done that too :) This is the first cylinder that I'm resleeving with a different sleeve than the one that came out of it. Normally if the same sleeve is going back in, I drill a little hole, half in the sleeve and half in the cylinder. And then line it up using the drill bit when it's going back in. So pretty much like the 454 notches, makes it really easy!

Russ White Haha I thought it was too late already when I took like 10 seconds to take off my mitts and then put them back on again, but it still moved so I gave it a shot. The problem was that it was already a little bit stuck so I had to use a bit of force to move it and couldn't move it just a tiny little bit. Finally it was a little off but wouldn't move any more so I had to do some quick thinking there! I think another couple of seconds more and it wouldn't have come out without a hammer or press.
