Dave when it’s 108 degrees out and 90+ in the shop 70 degrees would feel pretty cool. Man it’s hot out there by you. This has been a cool summer here on long island usually mid to high 70’s. Thanks for all the excellent troubleshooting tips. Hope all is well. 👍. Artie

This has been helpful. I’m having similar issues after having the fans and the compressor replaced. Now the condenser is getting swapped. It’s all been done at the Honda dealership, save the fans. Car is 20 years old. If the issue persists after the condenser, I’m locking in on that actuator. Haven’t had any leaks or anything; just noticed it this summer. Usually when coming up to a stop the car goes into shutting off the motor, so I didn’t notice. 2003 Civic Hybrid

My accord with auto ac does this sometimes. I just turn the temp all the way one way or the other and then back to where I want it and it works. Guess I should replace the blend door unit.

Hey man love this channel for the content for my 08 Acura tos. Ever heard of an aux fan relay going bad?my car stays cool but I only hear the fans come on low at 205 degrees but never hear them on high. High is only with ac on? Wandering if a relay could be bad? Thanks for all your pointers

This is great video man. Mine is doing the exact same thing as this. I changed the ac relay and fuse but nothing changed. At first when I run on the car on the highway AC runs great but as soon as come to a stop or crank up the AC speed it starts fluctuating and then starts blowing warm air. Going to change that blend door. Should I have it vacuumed and recharged too? TIA

I have a very similar issue to this. I have a 2011 Honda Pilot EXL with Dual Climate control. In the garage, I get 60-70 degrees on the passenger side, and 82+ degrees on the drivers side. If the car sits outside in the sun, the drivers side is over 100 degrees, while the passenger side is still around 60-70. If I leave the car idling for 10-20 mins, nothing seems to change. However, if I drive it down the highway, the drivers side returns back to 80 or so degrees about 10 miles in. Mostly I travel only short distances with this car so if I take it to the grocery store and it sits in the sun, the AC just blow heat the entire way home. Honda service center ran diagnostic on it and said there was nothing wrong with it, but was almost $500 just to conclude this. They checked the charge in the AC and said it was fine. Since then, I have taken to trying to diagnose this myself and replaced a few parts to rule them out (cheaper than diagnostic). I have installed new AC relays, a new blend door actuator on the drivers side. I then got a gauge to read the refrigerant level and it was in normal range (just as the service center concluded). I'm going to continue watching your videos but if you have any input, it would be greatly appreciated. ADDITIONAL INFO: The mechanic noted an odor from my vents and noted it seemed to be due to the evaporator being wet. He changed my cabin filter and sprayed citrus cleaner in the vents. Seems strange to me that additional steps were not taken at the time.

A leak in the A/C system caused the problem and having a low A/C coolant makes it even worse. A new battery helps.

A new battery new spark plugs and stop leak for the A/C fixed the same Honda Civic 2010 EX-L. It was probably stop Leak that fixed it as it wouldn't hold compression.

What's that thing below the tach, by the mileage numbers? Is it an LED? I have an LED there for the iVTEC (R18). (So I know I'm in fuel economy mode).
