They could also allow only a single allflame of the same type to be used to be used per map. Corpse crafting seems to have tanked the value of essences too. I spent the weekend casually farming essences and ended up with an essence tab that was less valuable on Sunday than it was on Friday, and still had to mark it down to 85% to sell it.

@Big Ducks i double checked after this strat blew up in league.... At launch I had opened up like 19k scarabs in Standard. 12 of them were the Curation -- so yeah, they're pretty damn rare. Almost 1 every 2,000

GGG needs to find the middle ground between no loot like Kalandra and leagues like this one.

T17s should be unrolled as a baseline, just regular maps. They drop one splinter on normal difficulty, increased difficulty with modifiers makes multiple fragments drop.

Hearing you explain this gave me a flash back to the og 100% deli triple beyond mapping with hh and so on.

For the allflame I recommend having it change the pack leader into a rogue exiles. While leaving the rest of the pack as a mix of other rarities.

I did find some Divination Scarabs of Curation, I think it were three in total. The first was in week 1 and sold for a few Divines, the other two were in the last couple of days and I sold both like 24 hours ago for 20 Divine each and now I am pretty sad.

meanwhile i got a divine altar at the end of the map. got a divine mod on necro but dint drop a single divine 😅

players said they like chase items so ggg gave them a chase scarab.

Got my headhunter for 24 divine! I'm loving the economy. I'm usually poor as hell, but this league I have been the richest I have ever been! If you are struggling to afford gear, craft with Necropolis. No one is talking about how good it is.

If you got a build that can actually run a map like that, you don't need the mirrors anymore

Fore the all flame they should make it so you can only put 1 of etch all flame per pack so max 1 exile all flame per map

I dont find these things to be bad at all. the economy isnt a real economy. im not paying rent or things the loot enables me to play the game and have fun. vs barely getting good loot then working much harder to have the same fun, because lets be honest people are still playing, and the items are out there for people to trade, and craft. the only difference is things are much cheaper and accessible. Now I wouldnt want this in every league, but right now the game feels good to play.

i think one option to nerf the scarab would be to make it give less divination cards per favored map instead of more, so it is a bit of a tradeoff with the favored maps you pick, more options for better cards or more cards.

I did some thinking about how ggg can fix the issues with the current meta without angering people by nerfing the scarabs and the allflames. I would restrict t17 maps from being modified by anything other than chaos. This would include scarabs. This would deter farmers from being able to use t17 maps for their bis map of choice since they wouldn't be able to juice it. This would drop the price of t17 maps reducing barrier to entry to just needing a really strong build without the risk of loosing profit per map.

Found one of those when it was worth 7div and another one a few das ago and sold it for 29div. I pretty much finished my build with it, so no regrets lol.

strong box inherenting modifers added to maps is the main issue.

This all goes back to what is, in my opinion, the most toxic aspect of POE- the urgency to take two weeks off your job at league start to gain an advantage for currency and content. There’s a lot of us still working on our first or second characters now. We’ve had some fun with the league. But now if we want to try and get a build to its full potential, sorry, the cost of entry into a strategy that enables you to afford the items you need is out of reach.

The next problem with the Tier 17 maps is that you now have to do them to get the 5-way. As a casual player, I was only able to get it because Einar and Huck are currently able to help me. I could never have done it without them.

i though the map is suppsed to be like 8mod T16 and hard boss at the end, for the middle point for bossing instead we got this.. :/

I'm probably gonna have to buy a T17 carry, I reckon. I can do regular maven in under a minute but I can't even dent T17 whites, for some reason, at least not before they kill me. I'm very confident I could do ubers, but I can't manage to get there.

This is why a PTR or pre-season launch is a must! This has been GGG's practice since forever and streamers/content creators have enabled this kind of practice.

The only good part is that you can find an afflame worth 2 div anytime you start a t14-16 map, a corpse worth 1.5 div.

I mean Defiance of DEstiny got moved to t0 and HH got nerfed so price makes sense.

The main issue is the div cards that are farmed in the strat give other league mechanic "exclusive" items. Adorned fragments = deep delve no longer that profitable, nimis = farming eater not that profitable. Affliction was better than this, bcuz you only could farm basic currency and uniques. And mfers flooded the market with valdo's boxes so that really strong builds(my personal target every league is to make one) have a profitable thing to farm. Now if you have a strong build w/o a HH you will never make more than an mfer. My point is: juicing with allflames is fine: it will only last for a league. Div card scarab is not fine. Even without allflames and t17s Emperyan's party was able to farm more currency than in affliction league

The worst part is that the super OP farming strat farms raw currency, divination cards, uniques and scarabs. Which drives down the prices of all those things, which cuts into so many other low to mid investment strategies. Just sold my HH for a 52 divine loss :)

To be honest I was able to afford a headhunter for the first time ever so for me, a filthy casual, its been fun. :)

I would appreciate ggg coming in for another massive patch to the league just to get things going better. A league is a league for testing the brand new content. If stuff is clearly over tuned or under tuned with a clear look please don't be hesitant to cut it bad by a bit. I would go as far as suggesting to do a hot fix for the t17 maps and disable the divination scarab. The scarab isnclearly breaking metas and needs to be cut before too much more damage is done.

you dont need to change allflame anarchy. just remove tormented spirit mod on t17s. that is responsible for 80% of everything.

after watching this video I checked my scarabs and I have 2 of the curation ones, didn't even realise how fucking expensive those are and I run dirt cheap builds that are mostly ssf oh well...

Listening to the streamers say how bad this all is(and last league) is how i feel every normal league priced out of things and builds, but last league played my longest ever and most builds because of these broken things. Now dont get me wrong this strat is way out of what i can afford but things that make cool builds are easier and cheaper to get and was last league. Last league my friend thats bad at the game was having a blast doing blight and getting 7d for his tainted oils and was able to try armor stacker. So im sure things here will do the same.

And GGG hasn’t say anything about it the good thing is that I was able to get my headhunter and my mageblood which is the only two things I always want to have in the game after that I’m done every league.

We are 12 days into a new at the very least 100 day league. They really need to start testing the game again.

this scarab is also my biggest gripe about this league. they promised that if you wanna farm high value cards you'll have alternatives to farming crimson temple all league, and this is the alternative they gave us. i think this curation scarab would be a lot better if it's an atlas passive keystone, which can be something like: "Divination card drops in Area are replaced by those of your Favoured Maps. 6% increased divination cards found in your maps per different favored map. 40% less divination cards found in your maps" this way, at 12 different favored maps, you'll get 72% increased and 40% less which ends up being 1.72 x 0.6 = 1.032x the card you'd normally get. AND the less multiplier would also reduce the effect of regular divination scarab (150% increased card found) so that there is still a point to farm crimson temple all the time with a regular div scarab, instead of taking this keystone. this keystone can also just replace "Meticulous Appraiser" or something, but that's kinda up to debate

I would say main reason dying sun went up so much is because it's a shit boss with multiple phases. Just takes a long time to clear just once and the proceed with your day. Most people would rather not go through that. Now if they reworked shaper fight to be considerably shorter with those stupid in between transitions to be deleted the. I think people might wana do it. But rate for flask still Needs to be raised a bit.

Personal opinion: new scarabs are hot garbage. If you don't use them in the ideal way, you just waste your time and currency. The gap between 'normal' content farmen (ie blueprints, or logbooks) and super juicing scarabs is so absurdly large, that everything in trade just makes no sense. This league got some really good QOL, but I just lost every motivation to play it. That is after I farmed >600div. So I'm not poor and can afford nearly every build, but you just have to stay in the loop, or you fall way behind the economy. If this stays the same next league, I will for the first time in years, not play POE.

and its nerfed already. The problem is now the people that abused this strategy are even richer because no one can generate even close to this amount of currency anymore.

Most people barely reach red maps. Let alone farm pinnacle bosses, of that percentage even fewer successfully farm the uber version. I don't think the t17 maps are an issue considering a vast majority of the player base just sell their pinnacle boss fights anyways. There's no shot that people who don't know how to run s build to the point of farming uber bosses in past leagues are comparing about the difficulty of t17 maps, it's meant to be a stepping stone in the sense that if you're consistently able to beat enough to get full uber fights then you should be fine in the fight itself. T17 should not be easy enough for people to farm an uber fight and sell it for even profit without being able to complete it. Casuals will always be mad at the wealth gap but either don't have the time to save enough currency or the brain capacity toestablish a build good enough to bridge the gap. It's that simple, as a casual player i know how to make hundreds of divines per league and craft pretty damn gear but i also realize 90% of players can't and just want to complain about how the rich get richer

Breaking more than the economy. They're causing server lag with these maps they're running, making other players experience 3000 latency and the game to be unplayable. I'm actually done with the league until it gets sorted. I can't even fuckin' delve rn because my character just cyclones against a wall until it dies to darkness.

Pretty much a league meant for a twelve hour a day player. It's a bit frustrating going to work in the morning and coming home to play and in that time the strategy shifted five times and one patch was deployed. And the best strategies heavily rely on buying stuff like scarabs and corpses. Wasn't the sextant change made to simplify mapping? Now it takes even longer to setup and calculate. Last league I had worthwhile things to sell: lots of essences, replicas to sell, a fulcrum from a void cache. This league nothing in my inventory aside from the equipment is worth more than 10c. Compared to Sanctum, ToTa and Affliction there's nothing interesting to do and explore as league content only shifting mobs and clicking corpses that's the whole league mechanic.

Mam I have a question but maybe I'm stupid or crazy but let's assume something, let's say this scarab of curation doesn't exist, with so low drop change doesn't exist anyway, so my question, I was farming some time now, not exactly scarabs but I have the nodes in the atlas, is this even worth it? I think I sold two 200 chaos scarabs and horded the rest and my whole tab is worth like 5 divines. I think I will take unwavering vision and just don't take scarabs, they are not worth it in my opinion.

I think if GGG tries to ''fix'' this now, it'll impact everyone who's already missing out even more. It'll reinflate the expensive stuff and the fringe content that could still steadily generate currency will take a hit cause, while this method is printing raw divs, uniques and scarabs, there're still things that aren't being printed that are still profitable. Honestly, GGG shouldn't move on this one. I'm not even doing this method, I'm not advocating it. I just know there'll be worse ripple effects if they try to ''fix'' it hastily with a bandaid. Think we gotta just accept that the economy for this league is just a bit weird and busted (remember heist?) and if you're having fun, that's cool - if not,honestly it does suck and I do empathize with it. But I'd say, you don't need to accept the fomo. I missed out on the div frogs. And honestly, I'm probably gonna miss out on this cause while my build is strong, it's an all rounder and not catered to that level of juicing. I'll still steadily be able to afford what I want and farm what I want. But I do get, how for some, it's overly upsetting seeing the market get blown wide open this way. I'm just not confident that they can fix it and not potentially break the league in an even worse way.

I guess the real game is, grinding away and flexing your HUGE div/hour. To gear your char to kill pinacle bosses that you can kill in a few days in scrubcore with 6 portals. Mmmk.

I feel like this league was an experiment for the future of endgame in poe. We now know many op strats that can be abused so GGG can implement a balance fix later. It seems fine to have a league broken imo.

I found one of the div scarabs early on day one, sold it for 1 div to kick start my build. Seeing the price of it skyrocket physically hurts. On the other hand, I saved up tons of lvl 83-84 Anarchy all flames so I made bank off of that.

I’ve been playing hours a day, only have 3 watch stones and am farming delve for currency and of course am completely ignoring the league mechanic. Probably the most fun league since I started playing back in harvest. Economy seems insane but I’m trying an ssf-ish approach only trading when I need to and it’s been great.

I realise now that this specific strat need a huge amount of chaos to reroll t17s, casual players, just do blight/delve jewelries farming for chaos recipes, you probably can pull 5 div an hour. 3 hours a day and you get your mageblood in 1.5 weeks :>

Honestly worst part about all of this as an average to slow player. I get to see all this hype and awesome drops, and never get to act on any of it. I don't blame the players taking advantage of it, but just furthers the mindset exploit early and often. Or get left behind. I feel like I am just mapping hoping I get lucky, where these players are out here making their own luck. 😅

Last league was spitting out just as much currency, and the entry level was much much lower lol. I don't understand how this is a problem. Every league has a strategy that's high investment high reward, this is no different

I simply do not understand the complaints with players getting items. It seems that the people who complain most are people sad that someone other then them has access to items. It is like some kind of weird itemization gatekeeping.

I'm not suprised about current state of economy after this kind of changes they did. Kinda expected, 4 months is not enough to do and test all of this. Funny thing, I'm ok with this chaos around it. I'm just doing my thing, playing game, enjoying league. Probably gonna make one more build, play for 1-2 weeks than drop and will wait for next league. GGG will have their time to fix and balance things. I can see a lot of hate, but I think it's good to talk about it and there is no need to overcomplicate things :)
