Cebu Outdoor Adventure | Places Where You Can Camp In Cebu
Cebu is known to have almost everything when it comes to having an adventure whether outdoors or camping, beach, waterfalls, and even magnificent mountains.
Luckily, I was invited by Cebu tourism board to join them for a familiarization tour on the farm side of the adventure or travel in the island of Cebu. The first stop that we had was the Sirao flower garden.
Sirao is a known location in Cebu where most of the beautiful flowers are nursed and harvested to be sold in the city. This is why there are different flower farms that are turning their property from ordinary farm to a tourist attraction. Just like the "Little Amsterdam" where they created landscapes of their that will be more pleasing to the eyes and added some sculpting and decors making it look like Amsterdam.
The second stop that we went to was the Evo Nature Camp site which is about a 40-minute drive from Cebu City. If I were to choose between this place and Sirao flower farm, I prefer it here because of the siren environment. They also offer glamping for their guests if in case they like to stay here overnight (rates may vary on the season). I also heard that this camp site also has a trail that will lead to a river and a cave, but I could not confirm as we only stayed there for a quick snack.
Next to Evo Nature Camp site is the Adlawon Vacation Farm. Unfortunately, we only went there for dinner and Arnis demonstration. So, I was not able explore the place even the farm since we got there a little late and was turning dark. While we were in the farm, I had the chance to learn a little bit of Arnis which is the Filipino martial arts. Novice as I was, I still enjoyed the experience.
After exploring those places as quick as we can, we then went back to Marco Polo Plaza which is one of Cebu's five star hotels that is near to these places we visited. We stayed there overnight as the invited guests will be housed in another hotel-resort the following day.
After enjoying the buffet breakfast at Marco Polo, we then went hiking in the trails going to Kan-Irag which is one of Cebu's popular camping and hiking sites for the outdoor enthusiasts. It was the first thing in the itinerary as we would be hiking for at least an hour and we did not want to burn under the heat of the sun or suffer from the slippery slope if it would rain.
After that adventure, we then went to Dales Terra Cotta Manor for lunch as we were all hungry from the hiking and biking in Kan-Irag. Good thing that the manor served good food, but we only stayed there for two hours as there is another place that we need to visit as part of the itinerary.
After our lunch at the manor, we then went to Lava Mountain river Farm. The place is perfect for campers and nature lovers as it has a quiet environment and you can definitely feel the serenity of the place. Sad to say, I broke my drone during our visit here because it lost contact and it bumped into a tree. So just to ease my devastation about my drone, I treated myself with the fresh Fiddlehead salad and a slice of Cassava which is a Filipino root crop.
From there were proceed to Mactan island via the CCLEX bridge for us to have our dinner and experience canoe paddling. That was the time it really drained my energy as I was asked to participate in paddling, plus the energy that I used to contain my emotions about my drone.
Supposedly, the tour is good for 3 days, but sad to say I have to bail out on the last day because of other important engagements.
