And now for something completely different. Here it is--my Bigfoot Documentary! Join me on this solo adventure, exploring the Patterson Gimlin film site and the forestry roads of Black Creek, California, looking for Bigfoot! Northern California's Willow Creek is the capital of the Bigfoot world, and it was a dream come true to explore this place. Anyone who follows me knows I'm an obsessed hiker and backpacker, but I'm also a Bigfoot guy. The Patterson Gimlin film still stands as the best video evidence of Sasquatch in existence. In this video, I spend two days alone looking for the legendary Bigfoot. Camping on Bluff Creek was a total dream come true. Huge thank you to Ron Morehead who allowed me to use his iconic "Sierra Sounds". All credit goes to him and his team for recording the famous Bigfoot vocalizations and chatter heard in the video, as well as the "whoops".
I found a lot of inspiration in other Bigfoot channels such as ‪@MountainBeastMysteries‬ and @smalltownmonsters. Those channels both have great Bigfoot content and documentaries. Also be sure to check out @survivormanlesstroud for his "Survivorman: Bigfoot" series. Also, be sure to check out the book "The Hoopa Project" by David Paulides, which I refer to in this film.
If you're interested in looking further into the topic of Bigfoot, I recommend watching videos from Anthropologist's Dr. Jeff Meldrum and Dr. Grover Krantz, as well as Wildlife Biologist Dr. John Bindernagle.
As always, I find massive inspiration while making my other hiking and backpacking videos from the legendary Joey Coconut and his channel "My Own Frontier" which can now be found on Patreon.
Full Disclaimer: In this video, I repetitively refer to the forestry roads as "logging roads" which is incorrect. They are not logging roads.

"it's more fun to believe".. most truthful words I have heard watching any other bigfoot videos.. your spot on.. my belief whether right or wrong has actually turned a few friends into believers and we have fun with it sending videos and Bigfoot related gifts for birthdays and holidays but I get the sense that they are truly starting to believe like I and others..

You have an animal, primitive primate that exhibits tactically evasive intelligence. Its elusive nature shows a mastery of its environment, an environment where it can apply its skill set in a manor that's left its existence in the arena of lore and criptic disbelief. I've never seen a sasquatch, but I believe in its existence. I have heard vocalizations, seen tracks, and once while swimming in a river in the Ozarks had a rock the size of a basketball thrown at me from the opposite bank over 59' away. An impossible throw of an incomprehensible distance and accuracy. I've no doubt that it didn't intend to hit me, just to let me know that it was watching me skinny dip. It was in a very secluded forestry area devoid of any human population. I got back to shore, got dressed, grabbed my gear, and exited the area. Coming back later that week where I discovered 18" footprints. Calculating with what I'd learned of sasquatch, I estimated the size of the beast at 9-10' tall and approximately over 1,000 lbs

I camped 2 nights with my 12 yr old son at Aiken Creek campground near where Bluff Creek meets the Klamath River. It was October, so the colors were changing on the Bigleaf maples, vine maples, oaks and dogwoods. We hiked up around Fish Lake and just above Bluff Creek. Our imagination carried away a couple of times, but we had two moments we still talk about: including walking into a sudden wall of “smell” just as a strange gruff barking started. As you noted, the scenery was spectacular. .

Back in the 90s I used to hunt in that area, little further north near the Klamath National Forest. I remember that Eerie feeling well, if you get back in there far enough it's like a thick rainforest I remember seeing old buses, probably left there from the 60s and 70s roads completely overgrown, but I distinctly remember getting the feeling of being in a place that I shouldn't be, I never saw anything but it was eerie and definitely quiet.

U will only see them if they want you to see them. Hint: TREAT THEM LIKE A NEIGHBOR BY INTRODUCING URSELF BEFORE ENTERING THE WOODS LETTING THEM KNOW YOU MEET THEM NO HARM. BUT KNOCKING ON TREES AND SCREAMING CAN BE A SIGN OF AGGRESSION. GOOD LUCK AND BE CAREFUL FOR WHAT YOU WISH FOR. ONCE YOU HAVE AN ENCOUNTER U WILL NEVER BE THE SAME OR THE WAY YOU SEE THE WORLD. But ask URSELF why are we being lied to about not only Sasquatch but many other cryptic beings. U won't get on film using the same tactics they've been doing for 20years. KNOCKING & WHOOPING . But walking creek beds or riverways near water it's ur best chance to catch one on camera cause the water interferes with their senses or energy. GOOD LUCK BRO.

Appraise you that’s the truth you can’t hunt them they come to you or you happen to see one. Most I’ve heard is always by waterways the stories I’ve heard are always is alike, throwing stones, whoops, and paralleling you out of forest. Seems must e areas that are there territory and that’s maybe where you’ll encounter Sasquatch behaviour that’s enough for Mexica, I do not want to see them. Apparently the redwoods you said you’d been they have been spotted. Appalachia, Ohio and Idaho they not the hot spots. I wasn’t a believer until I started looking into it and watching base camp Chris. I think the trick is just to try go on your merry way not looking and you never know. Good luck.

That road doesn't look bad at all! Most of the old logging roads I know are pitted w huge potholes, mud boarded, and one lane, overgrown with hanging tree branches that scrape the truck lol. It was very interesting to hear the Sierra Sounds while beside campfire on a really dark night👍

Very well done doc.on Bigfoot & Bluff Creek here in California, good approach on it. Pretty spooky there alone & yes there are a lot of Black Bears up in Nor. CA., and i'm sure there are some mistaken identities with bears, but for the most part, no, most people know what a bear looks like & when you see a Bigfoot you know you are seeing something completely different, you know you are not seeing a bear or any other big wild animals in the forest, Bigfoot is real. Thanks for the adventure, take care, Serg

I purchased some raw land about 10 miles from the Patterson-Grimlin film site a couple of years ago, initially completely unaware of its proximity. There is only wilderness between the two. It is rough, remote and beautiful country. There are many black bears in the area. Precipitaion at film site is over 60 inches a year. The elevation is about 2500 feet. The forest can be very dense in places with a broadleaf understory, making it hard to see even 10 feet in front of you. Extremely biodiverse area. I plan to vist the film site alone myself this coming spring or summer and spend a month or two in the area. I hadn't considered camping overnight at the Patterson-Grimlin site, but I'm thinking now that I may if possible. Mid-August 2023 lightning strikes started a large wildfire near there this past summer and fall and closed the forest. Site may have burned. I'm much more concerned with bears than bigfoot, at this point. Will have bear spray readily accessible. Trees fall across those logging roads and bringing a saw to cut your way in or out may help.

No reason to be scared. Even if these things were real, I'd still say don't be scared. These shows are meant to manipulate you by emotions. Don't be the puppet. Take the suspenseful music off, stop him from talking about Sasquatch, then just watch him drive or walk through the woods, it'd be no problem. The production is manipulating your emotions. 😉

I was 8 years old in the mid 80s when *Werewolf* was aired on FOX 5 (NY), and I was in the mountains of upstate NY then. After watching the show at 8pm, I still went outside alone in the silent night and did not feel fear. It really is all in the mind. If I found myself thinking something fearful, I'd laugh at myself and shrug it off. Gotta laugh it off. Watch as nothing else happens the next minute, the next hour, the next day. See, it's all in your mind.☺️

I’ve never seen a Sasquatch, but have heard and experienced some of the telltale signs of its existence, tree knocking, unusually bent or broken trees, etc. while its existence has always been debatable, if nothing else this hobby is a great way to experience some amazing places and get some really good exercise!
