I remember watching the weather one morning on Oct. 17th, 1998. The guy said we would have maybe a 1/4 inch of rain before the front pushed on off to the East and the sun would come out. Well, it must have rained 1/2 inch while I drank that cup of coffee and we had 21 inches before the rain stopped that evening. Never trust the weather guessers or a politician.

Finally some truth in forecasting! Thank you! No rain for San Antonio, the drought will continue until further notice. Water levels at all area lakes will continue to drop and water supplies will diminish as heat again ramps up to further evaporate surface water. Area creeks and rivers will also see no relief.

Counties North of the Yucatan Peninsula Mexico. Not West to Louisiana,not Alabama. It wasn't Florida - it was all Islands in the Caribbean.Cameron County, Willacy County, Hidalgo County and the County West of Hildalgo County. Remember Cameron County Texas - only 6 sandbags are allowed. If is not enough,then evacuate up to Beyar County ( in whichal counties were formed from in 1870 )

I wouldn't sleep on this storm. I've seen storms blow up in the gulf of mexico before. i wouldn't be surprised if it turns into a major hurricane before making landfall.
