They went 8-9 last year with McDaniels for the first 6 games, not sure how he can claim they are only one win better of a team after adding multiple big time pieces and an improvement at QB, even if it may be small.

Crackhead Defensive End, injured 1st rounder, injury prone QB, shitty head coach for 8 games, rookie 4th round QB starting 10 games, Hunter playing his way off the team, regular injuries, Josh Jacobs falling off etc! 😂Based on how imperfect last season was, this year should be 10-11 games easy as long as Max, Davonte, Wilkerson and Jack Jones stay healthy!

Getsy did his job in Chicago--to let Justin Fields show whether he could be a franchise QB. The Raiders hired him after looking at game tape and seeing all the open receivers that Fields didn't see, and all the sacks that Fields himself caused while trying to process what was in front of him...at a snail's pace. It's tough to succeed as an OC when you're given responsibility to develop an utterly clueless quarterback.

I think they 100% nailed it on their take about the offense. It is going to be up to Getsy and other Off Coordinators to put this talent in positions to be productive, move the chains and score TDs. AOC is being slept on I feel like his label as a "statue" QB will change although I believe Minshew might still beat em out at first but AOC will show improvements.

Hopefully Getsy can gain some creativity in his play calling because what he did last year was weak. If they can get a high pick in 25 and get a QB, maybe they can get rid of Getsy then and get a real OC.

@@chadwickerman LOL you Bears fans are like broken records, how can a coach have creativity when HE CAN"T RUN HIS OFFENSE because the QB can't handle it. Fields had the same problem in college he can't handle pro offense. Why do you think he ran so many screens? Maybe because the QB can't process and read the defense, or he holds on to the ball because he doesn't know what to do. Talk to any Ohio State fan for gods sake that was his problem there in fact OS already ran an easy QB friendly offense when Fields got there and they had to make it a ONE read offense for Fields. So they had to simplify a simple offense LOL. Not many people can run a pro offense Fields wouldn't be the first + athlete that can't process fast enough the history of the NFL is littered with them. Watch this year the Raiders offense will look nothing like the Bears offense and the Raiders probably don;t have their QB yet but it will still like a modern pro offense. So enough with bashing the coach because he didn't have a QB that could run his offense why do think the Bears traded him for a 6th round pick in NEXT years draft.

Everybody go look up Maxx’s podcast where D Adams talks about Getsy. He was the WR’s coach in Green Bay. Adams is 100% on board for Getsy. Chicago just didn’t have the cast to utilize his system. If Adams and AP approve, I’m good with it.

Crazy. AP already said that AOC was the starter unless Minshew can beat him out. AOC last four games, 8TD 0INT. He took two weeks off at the end of the season but has practically lived at the practice facility since. Watch some tape on him before trying to minimize him. The Raiders went 8-9 last season despite all of the turmoil that happened, and added some great pieces, then you say that might win only 8 games again? All I can do is just shake my head.

You are correct. AOC seems ready to start but Minshew is also a good QB and beat the Raiders twice. I like both QBs and I give the edge to MINSCHEW because he's mobile and seems made for being a Raider QB. THE beard and long hair and charm. He gets my nod but AOC is going to be right there.

Despite all the turmoil of last season you commented. Isn't that about the truth that is the Raiders year after year through the past three decades? I hope that AOC and Minshew are better than other teams think. The Raiders going into this season have the third best QB in the division and arguably the weakest Head coach. QB wasn't a real need. It was talking head trash. O'Connell was a rookie last season and did great in the last month of last season. He'll just keep improving. Raiders Defense over the last 8 games was #1 in the league for scoring and has just improved with the off season acquisitions. The Raiders are 12 win team if healthy.

I remember 40 years ago when we won the last superbowl trophy we have. We had several seasons since then that we had great teams and legit chances. But last 20 years we keep getting new coaches that add ball handler skills like adding HP to the engine. But we keep trying to run the race with two or more flat tires- Our oline can’t block good enough plain and simple. Loose the trenches = loose the season. If we had a top 5 Oline DC4 could have done amazing things. Having an average offensive line with an average QB will bring you average results. Mahomeless is the best qb in the league right now- pay attention to their wins/losses and how it is affected by their offensive line. Our defense is our only hope right now.

Gallup is a decent pickup. But I feel like Raiders are notoriously known for picking up veteran WR mid career that are in the low mid caliber but end up cutting them by week 1. We’ll see how he performs.

Maybe, maybe not it would be nice to have a crystal ball but no one does so you don't have a clue. I think AOC will beat out Minshew and have a good season but I think so, I don't know. You shouldn't make statements like you know what's going to happen AOC has talent if he came out his junior year he would have been a 1st rd pick. I'm sure you didn't know that or watched him play in college. People just judge guys by their draft slot and pontificate from their rectums.

I remember a back up quarterback from Kansas City that came over to the raiders. Luke Getsy is a question mark but it also comes down to personnel. If the QB can't run his system then they both fail obviously. We will see who was truly to blame later this year. I think Fields is not as bad as people say and same goes for Luke Getsy it was just not a good fit.

AOC without a full pre season as a starter plus all the mess with mcdaniels, he did very good. He must be good enough if the coaching stuff trusts him.

I think Minshew will surprise people he’s shown that if you give him weapons he can win you games and this receiving core is 100% better than what he had in Indy

Consider this, prior to the start of last season, coming off a season where Jacobs led the league in rushing, Everyone said the offense was going to be great. The offense stunk. the improvement to the offense is JPJ and Bowers and suddenly people saying the offense is going to be great again? I dont buy it. The QB play cant be any better as they still have sitting ducks at QB. Hopefully the oline is way better and QB will have better time. I dont think Bowers makes much difference, as Adams is first option and when he isn't getting catches, they start forcing it to him which does no one any good. Neither RB has break away speed, so in the event raiders have lead in 4th quarter, great can run clock out. Should have drafted Guerendo in 4th round to get that lightning guy. Can only bare to watch rb's running into brick walls for so long. Im predicting Raiders offense to struggle to start the year, so hopefully im wrong!!!!
