A hint of sunlight shimmers off the giant workhorses of the maritime industry. The ship loaded with the three biggest cranes ever for the Port of Oakland passed by the iconic San Francisco skyline this morning. The cranes will be the tallest for Oakland and the U.S. West Coast. The booms are lowered here. Once anchored the crew will raise the booms before entering the port.
