Great haul! Love the tips about bringing drinks and snacks and the example you set of taking a break to step outside. It really makes me feel like these events are for everyone! My fav pin is the stich crashes disney, I've been thinking about starting those when my emperor's new groove puzzle is complete.

Great tips! I got discouraged at the picnic tables when I was new to pin trading, I had no idea about valuation, and could only find one person to trade with me. I know now and I'll be ready next time. Great tips!

How do you value your pins? 🏰💖

Great question! Everyone has their own way of valuing them for trade. I have a higher trade value verses when I sell. For selling I do my best to offer the best deals. For trading lower end/ smalls, OEs, I just have general ideas based on the type of pin. Usually they don't change much unless it's a super popular character. For example, almost all Loungefly pins are generally valued at $10-$15 for trade and most people I've traded with will trade a loungefly for another loungefly. Same with Mystery box sets from Disney that come with 2 pins versus 5 pins. I also try to know my pins to figure out if it's a booster pack or lanyard set, vintage, etc. Ebay listings and solds help but they range and vary a lot. Ultimately it's up to the individual trader. If someone gives me a value that I don't agree with, I simply don't trade with them even though it may very well be worth that much to them. Hopefully my answer makes sense!

Definitely try to plan your next Disney trip around an event! They are so much fun! I brought more traders than usual at this event. I probably had at least 300 traders. Usually I'll have around 100 traders. Many people and especially those with booths will bring double/triple/quadruple what I have. Where do you usually trade?

@@MelodiePinzThese We recently moved to FL and are an hour from Orlando, so I’m hoping to attend an event at one of the Orlando hotels when they have one. So 100-300 pins is what I need to aim to bring? What do you put them in to lug around all day? My trader book is extremely heavy on my shoulders to carry all day, just wondering if you found something different to carry all the pins in.

@@christypinsty You don't need to bring 100-300 pins but I personally have found that the more traders I bring, the better chance I will have of making trades in general. I have attended events where I only had 20 pins and still was able to make trades. I try to pack as many pins as possible in a pinfolio where the front has a clear cover so you get 3 pages of pins. Some of them don't have a cover in the front so you only get 2 pages to put pins. I have found this to be the lightest pin book. I also do have a Kraken book which you see in this video because it holds more pins. If is definitely heavy. I put.a strap on it so wear it like a bag. Here is a link to the Pinfolio I personally.
