Good morning sunrise, Phil! LOL Red snapper $5,000 is $24 USD. For that price, the fish should be cooked. My dad used to fish on weekends and public holidays when we lived in Trinidad. When fish was biting, he would bring home loads of fish, and give away some to the neighbors.

You and I agree. Some don’t like when truth is spoken. What the hell is fish caught in Guyana selling for $5,000 GYD! I am sure inflation in Guyana has to be around 20-25%

Good afternoon Philip, it's good that you were able to visit the fish market earlier than the last time. It's a good crowd there. Did you find their prices to be more reasonable than the regular market? Lots of nice seafood there. Great post ❤👌✌️🙏👋💯🇬🇾✔️

Dang, the prices in Guyana always amaze me. How do people afford stuff when wages are relatively low compared to the prices? Stuff in Guyana is more expensive than stuff in the US.

Hi Phillip. Another great video. That red snapper lady pulled a fast one on you. No Bueno! Those fish prices are the same as NYC. Crazy! They're not imported, why so expensive? That market is auditory overload. Lol. Why these people always screaming and arguing? 😂 I hope you made some delicious meals with your purchases.

Thank you Marie, yes she did. I managed to enjoy fish as dinner with rice. I even ate some more of the fish today. Big up yourself

I am glad that you returned early in the morning where there are more selections. As I told you the last time, the prices are EXPENSIVE. Even the female vendor told you that! The average person cannot afford to buy red snapper for $5,000 GYD or $25 USD. That is just ridiculous! Constructive criticism…One fish, a million fish. No such thing as “fishes or shrimps.”🙈
@dreamer65086 ай бұрын
Bought three pieces of cut fish in New York, it’s called salmon fish found in cold waters like around Canada or Alaska cost 27 USD
@Delitewon6 ай бұрын
@@dreamer6508 I don’t know what your point is. Do Guyanese earn the same like Canada and NY? Then why would you want the prices to be the same? You folks need to put on your thinking caps or engage your brain before you speak.

Hey I actually went to look it up cause I'm kinda sure I was taught to say 'fishes'. Turns out both are acceptable but 'fish' is more commonly used. Thanks

@@PhilipVlogsMD You’re welcome and I am glad you’re a good sport because some people take offense to corrections. As a child, I was taught fish, shrimp, and sheep were all the same in the plural form.

Bro go back to that woman and show her your video, she pretended to give you two fish at the same time but only gave you one! If she says anything show other people nearby and they will call her out on it! Its on yt so now people are not going to go her, people don’t yet fully understand how you are hugely benefiting them by showcasing their product on yt, they should be the ones paying YOU!!!

OMG, it is a shame and sad to see how the vendors try to exploit their customers. I visited in November and experience the same thing, but did not have to pay for cleaning the large snapper that I bought in Berbice. I am all for supporting small business, but I work hard for my money and earn it earnestly. I also notice that most of my relatives asking for help but do not hesitate to spend on expensive shoes, clothes and other frivolous items.
