The Kerry Packer story about paying off the dealers mortgage is 100% true. When it happened, he had won $27.5 million that night, and gave the dealer a $300,000 tip, to pay off her mortgage, and take her 2 kids on a holiday to Disney Land. Happened because he found out her husband had bailed on her and left her with the kids and mortgage.

Being a player is sort of a macho thing because the player tries to beat the house edge. However, if it was the players who had the edge, casinos would never try to be macho. Casinos wouldn't exist if the odds were with the players. Casinos basically say to themselves "Thank you suckers"

I'm a table games dealer. He's right, $100 bill is like seeing a $5 bill. Money really has no value in a casino. You're separated from your money as soon as you buy chips. My professional advice: never game. Ever. It's quite sad seeing people lose thousands. Don't like it, but I need a paycheck

The thrill goes up in steps. When you start out, maybe winning twenty bucks is a thrill, you go out and eat and drink for free and feel great. Then, over time, twenty doesn't do it anymore. But a quick hundred dollar win gets the heart pounding. Then, over time, a hundred no longer does it. Then it's the 500 or thousand dollar bets that stir your emotions. If you still have money by then, or if you come into some money through a will, then the biggie will be the $5000 wager. And when you win one of those! Watch out. Now you're looking forward to placing that big ten thousand dollar bet (and winning, of course). Now, winning $20 won't even hold your attention.
@biggawinnacrapsa38705 жыл бұрын
@Awesome Liberal - Yeah, here's a tip, and it might save you big bucks over the years, as it has me: Quit playing Blackjack!! In Blackjack, I found, after 20 years of torture, you can have the winning hand and turn it into a losing hand. As in - you play last before the dealer, OR, you're alone at the table, just you and the dealer, and you find yourself looking at the typical hard 12 with the dealer having a face card showing. You hit and bust, only to see the dealer turn over his hole card, a deuce! So, you HAD the winning hand, but turned it into a losing hand. This cannot happen in Baccarat, where the outcome of all hands is determined the moment the cards are cut at the start of the shoe. About Craps: I was chicken shit in 1999 when I had close to forty grand on me in Atlantic City (stayed for 10 days at a cost of 30 grand) and had not one, but TWO great rolls at the Craps table, 41 rolls and 43 rolls - one at the Sands and one at the, I believe it was the Hilton back then, it changed names so many times I forget. Anyway, on each hot roll I made just under $700. I distinctly remember the dealer saying 'I may not know much, but I know a roll when I see one.' This was right after I had rolled 5 eights in a row. Somehow my brain was in 'protect the bankroll' mode and it never clicked in that I could have paid cash for a new house if I would have broken out some money and put it across the numbers. I like that you don't make 'prop' bets and will forgive you the occasional 'yo'. I usually will make a horn bet for the dealers when I'm ready to leave if and only if I've done well.

I still gamble, but just manage my money better, and still a loser, lol ! But just last month i had my best craps roll ever, 30min, at a $10 table, and made 4500. Little has changed. Strangely the bet limits of 10k-50k from 1995 have gone up minimally in 2014. 2014 if you're a bad gambler (loser) you can get a 250k bet limit, but if you're a guy off the street expect 10k. Once you get to 500k and up if you win it can start effecting the bottom line/ stock price. Binion had it happen with Archie Karas. MGM had it happen with Kerry Packer and letting him go to over a million dollars a bet.

People who have billions and millions don’t need to gamble because they have everything they need money wise. They do it for the action some don’t care if they win or lose it’s the adrenaline rush of gambling. It can be more addictive than drugs it’s the action of being in the game win or lose. I know people who win big amounts of money but put it all back gambling more and more till it’s all gone. They do nothing with their winnings but gamble it back as long as they are in the action that’s all that matters. The act of being in that place of action keeps them playing till the money is all gone and they will just about do anything to get more money to get back to more action. You don’t have to go to Vegas anymore there are casinos everywhere to give people all the action they want and need. Woman especially are addicted to slot machines so it’s not just men who require action. Like I said gambling is worse than drugs.

Find the winner(s), see who's winning in baccaret/roulette table, and follow him.[Baccaret is the only table game with 50/50 chance].If you win, you win, if you lose you lose, but don't stay too long. Most winners are the one who know when to quit. Good luck! [Slot pay out are the lowest. Nevada Casinos are required to payback minimum 28%. lol the guy at 7:15 says $100 bill is nothing.. You let the count be off by $100 dollars in the cage or the when dealer counts the chips in tray.. Then tell $100 doesn't mean anything. That guy is a clown.
