Why not invest in a remote controlled disconnect switchgear instead of running to shut the plant down? Hit the remote and turn off the power? Just an idea. Like a remotely controlled generator off switch?

On previous episodes I've seen the Shaker rattle springs loose.. Is there any way of installing cushioners of some sort, to absorb some of the vibrations to prevent the equipment from shaking themselves apart? Also, I wonder why they don't redirect the water that runs through the slucer, into a half pipe, then back into their pond so that they always have water? This would help prevent not having water towards the end of the season as well, when things start freezing up.

recirculation systems are used in gold mining. but they also add to potential running problems with silt build up

Not everyone wants to leave their family for months to grind 16 hour 6 day work weeks for no guarantee of being paid much. Even if you are paid an average operator wage it’s still tough and you could probably work somewhere closer to home for the same

Volvo use to be a pos with all the electronic failures and all around mechanical problems but fellas they’ve had 40yrs to improve here in North America…but I have a 100 yr old John Deere still producing sooo! Don’t mak’em like they use too!

The miners have to reclaim the land when they are done. They put up a really huge bond with the state to cover the cost of this reclamation and the govenment inspects to make sure its back to the way they want it.
