So after watching a few of your tutorials, I donned makeup for the first time in like 8 months. I went to the grocery store wearing my mask (being covid safe) and the checkout lady in the neighboring line complimented my eye makeup. It literally made my day. You look STUNNING! I've been playing in makeup (yours!) and dressing up (to go from one side of the house to the other--haha!), and it has TRULY helped my psyche during these crazy times! I am 9 mths in with growing my grays (I'm now have "chalk-white" hair on the top of my head and darker gray in the back--it's so awesome!!!!) SO, with the hair changes, it's been super fun to experiment with makeup and make the effort to dress up! When I started this, my husband asked me, "What's going on with the makeup? Where are you going?" I said, "To the kitchen and Nikol made me do it." He LOVES it! Better than seeing me looking like a tired, worried woman! HE THANKS YOU, NIKOL! CHEERS!!!!!

Fabulous Video!! I love what you said about dressing up to watch my favorite movie!! I needed this as I lost my job first part of July and since then only worn makeup once!! Thank you again. You are a wonderful teacher I'm so glad you show from the beginning and repeat the process in many of your videos. Just turned 70 & am having to learn how to use make-up again--what used to work sure doesn't work anymore. The changes in my skin are mind boggling. Having my skin juiced-up enough for concealers & foundation is nearly impossible. I will just keep practicing with you....

Hi Nikol. 8 months and I’ve not dyed my hair. I’m a bit startled because I thought it would be pretty gray. Nope, it’s more pepper with a very little salt with that gray around my temples. When I straighten it, I can’t even tell. I did notice I’m kind of losing hair. I used to keep it up and out of my face with one of those bands. I think that may be pulling my hair out. Have you heard of that being the cause of thinning hair? Some beautiful tips today. Thank you. You’re an inspiration.

I have the same type of eyelids and do my makeup the same way. Have never looked good in lighter shades. I have lately been using rose, wine and burgundy shades. They look really good on hazel eyes. Also, with blue eyes. I never use a light shade first. Use it last on the brow bone.
