As a new member of this community, i understand the feeling of not being able to really begin something due to everything already used or taken, i really hope once this new world comes I’ll be able to introduce my own roleplay on to the server and roleplay with many others!

I know a ton of old players coming back for the new world and could not agree more with your position, I think it’s gonna be a success

I've seen a few Stoneworks videos and have always thought "That would be cool to get into," but the fact that the worlds have been around for so long made me decide to skip since there's no room to really forge a new land without having to go through some kind of war. Had no idea Stoneworks was making this move, now I might try and join!

I'm glad you appreciate our decision. You're right about a lot in your analysis as to why we're changing so much, and I have a lot of the same anxieties and worries that you do. Obviously, we're going to be putting our all into our launch and community rebuilding for Abexilas, so no one's gonna be able to say it's for lack of trying.

I do agree with closing Rathnir and Eldham, the map was too crowded and exploited from corner to corner, air to bedrock. Good decision to close and start fresh. Item transfers I disagree with.

I swear if they don't upload Rathnir somewhere for us to download I will be forever disappointed. I wrote a book and made a bunch of copies and spread them around Sparwood around a year ago talking about squatters rights and all that. I've been trying to get my hand on a copy ever since cuz it's the 1 thing I am most proud of in this server. If they do upload it, I hope all items remain so I can go on a scavenger hunt to find them.

I've talked to people who have left stoneworks, and they felt that SW has deviated from its original goal. The YT channel has become "clickbait-y" with those over the top intros, and some admins pushing their own political views on to the server at certain times of the year. Most of them were older players, who had alot of history, and feel like its just become a group of children who dont know how to create a good story, and who just watched all those new YT '1000 player' things, and decided that they wanted to be the main character. the community as a whole has become more self-centered. and is 'rotting from the inside out'

As a returning player who left in 2021, The Reset finally gives me a chance to get back into the server now there is a world that is way over used.

I would vote zero transferable items, but I have a large collection of limited time seasonal items that I'd like to keep purely for their asthetic looks

I feel like its interesting that they are closing both. But at the same time I have no idea if they can retain their playerbase during the transfer.

Great video and nice summary of the stuff going on. I personally am very excited for the new world and I fully agree with your sentiment that stoneworks should return more to it's worldbuilding origin instead of focusing so much on wars and player vs player.

Yeah my vote is on ZERO transferred items. A lot of people will pull their experience card and I will be no exception. I made a lot of money on Rathnir and it would give me a massive advantage even with the newest iteration of the item transfer system. No books, banners, or lore either. Like CrazyKing said, it's all still gonna be there but frozen. To move anything like that over would make the lore all wacky. Great vid btw

how about a server army, which is a constant force to reclaim overextended player conquered land, and return it to the wild for new players?

I think it's a good thing we will have one world instead of 2. Both Rath and Eld were only half full most hours and I'm glad they're concentrating it into one

I do think that a lot of players leaving for competitors is a good thing even if it is probably an unintended and unwanted consequence.

1:22 i’m also happy that time will be frozen since for the longest time Port Sol has feared being attacked thankfully we never have because we’re always able to diplo our way out of it, and now that diplo can end things to the world being frozen in time. Also three years of our potato town, and not once did we ever get war claimed even though one point we were the capital of bard.

I really think a handcrafted world would ensure the longevity of Stoneworks as you can always add more continents/islands in the long run if space starts to run out. Oh and also a modded server with a certain theme would do really nice as well for those who are feeling more crafty than the casual players.

It could be an interesting turn to something more Legendary.

Personally, I joined the server for the worldbuilding. As it can not be transfered, the worldbuilding I have loved and worked on for a year dies. Therefore, I will leave the server. This reset has had negative consequences on me, but it doesn't mean that no one will benefit from it. It is an opportunity to start anew, although I agree that the players that have not joined because they can't create their own thing are self-centred, and only want to rule their own empires with poor worldbuilding just so they can be the main characters.
