@@GoodRNG pirates typically sit in ships waiting for cargo ships, chase them down, and then once the ship explodes they retrieve the cargo. Typically stealth isnt used and the battle is almost never on foot. The main goal here is it stop people from buying cargo because when they go sell it they are using an exploit to duplicate it and flood the market so people doing legitimate salvaging cant sell their material because its already been sold in the thousands

@@GoodRNG To add on to the other comment, lots of people just play nice and dupe or trade in harmony. They will make literal queues of ships to take turns buying drugs or cargo to sell somewhere else. Barely anyone pvp's, and definitely not as coordinated as this. Literally no one expects someone to have some guy hiding in a bush when you land to buy cargo, or that they have a team of people to transfer the loot in deep space and salvage the hull from your ship afterward, lol

@@VQTresCinco Like in the video, you can salvage it for decent money if you own a Reclaimer or a Vulture, so you can rob just to feed other gameplay loops.

​@@VQTresCinconot really. It's about the cargo. You can salvage it down but that doesn't require hunting players to accomplish. The main benefit here is the player bought a ton of cargo with their own money.

you can, just click on your party members on the map and you should be able to set them as the qt destination

@@eninja8152 Be careful doing that, I would always meet at fixed locations and quantum drive one after another. Yesterday I was doing Xenothreat with friends and 2 of my friends Quantum jumped into each other and blew up!

Yup, when engineering arrives in 4.0 they will add hacking so if you don't have a gun you will be able to hack doors.

Its still pretty buggy but its at the point where its finally getting good. It is free to play atm for the week.

Cities aren't that risky cause no weapon zone. Aren't junkyards more dangerous cause you can get shot at?

@@nicz7694 My apologies i explained that badly. I meant that the cities are all maxed out on their RMC demands so so selling at junkyards is guarenteed to make you money.The problem being the loss of profit if you're trading your own cargo. If the cargo is all stolen then junkyards are an easy option for profit

@Sacrifice117 that's fair. I can only say that the last time i played, it was exponentially worse. I just want to fly and shoot stuff down. I put almost 4k hours in Elite Dangerous, but it's boring af now. I just want a nice space sim and can handle some bs if it means I can fly. I'm not a fan of mil flight sims so DCS and such are out. I keep my expectations super low for star citizen. Been a backer for 7ish years now. Won't sink a penny more into the game until it greatly improves, but it's still nice to see how much has changed, for better or worse.
